Not hard to upgrade over what TM have now. Just saying there’s better choices out there. Shows how little these coaches understand goaltending.

LOL thats what shows what little coahes know? How about every team in the G shows you how little these coaches know! Right from how these coaches select their teams to how they run a practice and how they manage their bench, there isn't a single good coach in this age group. Prove me wrong! Sorry, I would say the MM coach has been doing things right and the fact that kids stay and continue to get stronger is proof of that. All the others are simply looking for a little tummy tickle from the dads who want their kid to get more ice time!

I agree these guys don't have a clue, in general. But with goaltending they are completely lost. They have zero clue what makes a good goalie or how a good goalie makes a team better. They think a good goalie has to face 50 shots per game and it's ok if they let in 5 or 6 goals. Most of these kids fail in the first year on a better team because they don't have basic fundamentals to play the game, they are too busy flying around by the seat of their pants trying to keep the puck out of the net on a bad team. Whereas the tender who faces 20 shots per game on a solid team learns how to play with a decent D in front of him and can actually improve their movements and positioning in the crease and will be more successful in the long run. While GAA isn't always the best indicator of goalie talent because team talent at this level varies, SV% is a great indicator for goalies with over 500 shots as it should remain close to constant no matter how many shots the tender faces.
