The clear path to building better teams is maintaining core players from being poached by the Terriers or Panthers, developing kids with potential and adding upgrading a few players. Terriers and Panthers maintain their programs by relying on good coaches developing players and then aggressively poaching them.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 10:02 pmOnly team to watch out for are the cats and everyone knows it !Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 6:23 pmRattlers talk the talk Followed by no walk,Guest wrote: ↑Wed Mar 19, 2025 2:46 pmLots of good kids on GTC. Rats will have another new super team again next year with the new GTC players being added.
Let's not forget other super teams from this year as in Streetsville Tigers a non playoff team and the Eagles who are on the brink of elimination.
Hilarious.
Some great players on that team, But its clear the coaching is subpar, they really got exposed in this playoff round and things are not going to magically change next year.
Its also hilarious to mention streetsville and the eagles. Two bottom teams who are systematically terrible. There is about 5 teams to be keeping tabs on and their playoff records are showing that.

Eagles were lucky to make it to the playoffs. If you look at the last 3 years for this group of kids Beast,Panthers and Terriers made the final 4. Yes they may have not won it all every year but you need to respect the program these 3 coaches have delivered. Anything can happen when you make it to the final 4. So stop the gate and learn to appreciate.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 3:20 pmPoaching to never win seems a losing strategy...Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:15 amThe clear path to building better teams is maintaining core players from being poached by the Terriers or Panthers, developing kids with potential and adding upgrading a few players. Not knocking down any coaches in this whole league, but all 3 of these teams did well in the first year of the G and that attracts players year after year. Has nothing to do with coaching. You can have Berube coach the Wolverines and they still would come in bottom 3Guest wrote: ↑Thu Mar 20, 2025 4:14 pmIf you look at the last 3 years for this group of kids Beast,Panthers and Terriers made the final 4. any early predictions???????????
Re: 2013 AA West
Here are some early predictions based on nothing more than how the league has performed over the last 3 years and what I have heard and seen throughout the league in terms of teams building up, breaking up and who they are recruiting. I am not going 1-14 but rather tier the teams:Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 10:18 amHow are teams shaping up? More importantly we still need to see who reign supreme for this year. Will it be the West or the East.
One Final four spot still up for grabs. Big game next Friday between HV and GTC. Winner moves on to final 4. GTC has not been able to beat HV yet this year so let’s see if they can step up or fizzle away.
Re: 2013 AA West
How did they all succeed in the first year to begin with? If they didn't work on their programs, how would they retain players? Culture is built through the coaching staff. To say a monkey could come in and do it is pretty naive. Berube would have recruited or if he was handed a final product, he would have put the team at a level that would allow the kids to build confidence and a chance to succeed. It all takes hard work, surrounding yourself with the right people, making tough decisions, and ultimately, giving a crap.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 21, 2025 9:18 amNot knocking down any coaches in this whole league, but all 3 of these teams did well in the first year of the G and that attracts players year after year.
