I’m a 2012 Aurora parent and this is the first I’m hearing of this. The 4th tryout is happening and we have not been made aware from the AMHA that he will be a non parent coach. Did I miss an email or website message?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 10:37 amHi 2012 parents, AMHA here. Just wanted to start by saying that Michael has a heart of gold. He’s made the generous decision that his wonderful son won’t be playing on the U14 AA team next season so that he can step in as a non-parent coach. You may see his son participating in tryouts, but it’s only for some extra ice time.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 8:01 amApril has proven the direction AMHA is going is the right one. Massive playoff success with our rep teams and multiple championships to show for it. Our U13AA showed they can not only compete in OHFs but win games. Our house league/select programs are strong with participation and development setting up for even stronger participation and talent for next season. It is time for the banquet to celebrate these championships across the AMHA and onto tryouts as we look to put together teams to win OHF Championships in 2025-2026.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Apr 20, 2025 11:57 am This weekend proved that the team has solid potential with proper coaching. If a new coach comes in and all but one player returns, Aurora U14AA could be a strong contender next season. Unfortunately, the egos of both MM and AMHA may prevent the right decisions from being made.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at tryouts!

You didn't miss an email about him being a non- parent coach. Some of these comments are just trolling because they have nothing better to do with their time. Hope the try outs went well for your child today!!

Parent coaches are great because they have children on the team, so they genuinely care and volunteer their time without charging for coaching.

Don’t believe the AMHA. We’re not trolls. We’re warning you. Just ask why all his players are gone…. Watch his son play. Does he deserve to be playing AA? Why do three non parent coaches need to step in? It’s not worth the trauma your kid will experience.
Re: Aurora Hockey
Its easy to hide behind a keyboard. They have no problem calling out the coach, his wife and the AMHA by name but aren't using their own names to support their experiences.
Re: Aurora Hockey
We can’t share our names. Those who are still part of the AMHA with other children would be removed, that’s just what they do. They don’t care about the kids. All that matters is their supposedly amazing coaches.Guest wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 5:00 pm Its easy to hide behind a keyboard. For those who made his team just be weary and make sure your kid communicates to you their experience. Stay close to the dressing room (he yells a lot) and don’t let him drag your kid into a dressing room alone for a reprimanding. (Yes, it’s disgusting but he does do this) .
Re: Aurora Hockey
Any time anyone calls out a coach or the AMHA, the first course of action by the association is to call them before the VP to threaten them to shut up or their kid will pay for it. Why on earth would anyone share their name. Hey- here’s where to start- all of MMs former players. Easy peasy.Guest wrote: ↑Sun May 04, 2025 5:00 pm Its easy to hide behind a keyboard. I will be there. Heard he didn’t show up to his first tryout as he told his old team he was looking to be an assistant coach this year.
From what I have seen this week they have not been better than I would have expected for a AA team. But love your attempt at positivity.Anyone trying out for Aurora U14AA needs to reconsider what they are signing up for. The extra A is not worth the PTSD that comes along with being on the team.![]()
No one wants the extra A in this town. F*ck the AMHA, Marley, Eileen and her crayons.

Can’t wait to Cheer on Richmond Hill, Upper York and Newmarket this year. This is where MM’s top players went to avoid abuse! The sign said walk but they ran. Good job boys! Looking forward to cheering you all on this season! F*ck MM and the AMHA!

Oh we all watched the games. Grinding and getting better, eh? Selfish as hell? Oh hi, MM. Keep those players in a box. No creativity. Ever. Your reffing "skills" really transfer over to coaching.
