Whether you had a great experience or a terrible one, no parent of a player that has been to the Brick would make this comment because it's not true.
You have no idea what you're talking about.
The level of play is very high and every kid is giving it their all. This is not the case at tournaments like kings of spring etc. I've been to them both. You can continue to argue something you know nothing about or try shutting your yap and learning something from others who have been there.

Re: Brick 2025
Playing in Lord of Rings during summer warm up is good practice but how can even think to make the NHL if you can’t even make Brick.
Re: Brick 2025
Have Dads always been this obsessive about making a Brick team ? Or is it getting worse?
Re: Brick 2025
If you want scouts to watch your kid don’t you have to play brick.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:47 am Have Dads always been this obsessive about making a Brick team ? Or is it getting worse?
Re: Brick 2025
I hope this guy and the NHL poster are being sarcastic. And yes, social media and FOMO is making parents (don’t forget the crazy moms) go bananas to get their kid on a Brick team. Sports guy called it out in the above post, won’t mean anything in 3 years. If your kid is still good they will be a “Brick Kid” sure. But if their development slows then the gossip will be “can you believe that kid played in the Brick?”. I have seen this play out in our area. Although for a while we were ignored since we are in the OMHA. Now we have 1 or 2 playing in the Brick per year. Fun to watch online and amazing hockey, but it is not the be all end all.
Re: Brick 2025
That's awesome. Really. Still doesn't explain how you came to a conclusion about something you haven't experienced. Again, my comment is in reply to yours stating that other spring tournaments are just as good as the brick. You could be Connor McDavid, doesn't make your argument carry anymore weight. I'm not saying it's a must, not saying it's worth it. Simply saying they are not comparable. If you haven't been with a child, you don't know. Ok there Mr. McDavid?Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 10:59 pmI promise you I’ve achieved 100 times anyone in your family has in sports. I know a thing or two. King of the rings is a run of the mill tournament. It’s not even close to the brick. I haven’t been to brick, but I have been to king of the rings and if it’s even close I should book my ticket to Edmonton now, my whole team should because we won last year!Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:46 pmMcDavid has a point here.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:40 pmYou think King of the Rings a year or two up is lower level hockey than Brick 2015?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 2:35 pmThat's awesome.
