Might have 1 or 2 kids on that team that actually have some skill. Rest are gonna spend loads of time in sin bin...seems like that was the strategy for 2024 with HC

Makes sense considering the type of player the head coach was when he played. They lost to smaller teams, but those smaller players had skill. You can’t win with big slow players in aaa.

The coach's kid should be playing AA. Guess what though? He's on the first PP unit! Another parent coach doing parent coach things.
Skill you say? You mean skating? Hands? Shot? IQ? Compete? If you skate like you've been riding a horse across Montana for 5 days straight, there might be a bit of an issue

Not sure there are many smooth skaters to choose from. Lots of bruisers though...so who cares about PP! Who picked this team? I know the coach had a big part in the decision, but were there others who had a say? Some of these kids are not meant for this level, and as someone else posted, the coach's kid should be jettisoned to AA. It's so pathetic that a city the size of London and these are the kids selected to play AAA. Get rid of the parent coach already! Clearly he either has no idea of how to identify talent or he is so political that he doesn't pick the most qualified, but the most connected.

They should look at the coach and wonder why he thought size was the most important thing. At the AAA level, you need speed, skill, and IQ. Yeah, size is nice, but there has to be a balance. Have the AA kids made a major impact? No. People thought the redhead kid would be some kind of saviour - 1 point in 8 regular season games. No folks, you need talent.
