I am losing sleep because of all the money I am lighting on fire for these over hyped "Skill guys". 0 correction, same flow drills, circuit stick handling around cones and most of all 0 passion. 80 bucks 20 kids on the ice and no one stopped my kid and showed him a damn thing in 3 weeks.
Is there a reputable school that will actually help my kid improve on his issues and not just blow a whistle and take out a phone to get cool content for their instagram?

What age and level is your kid? What skills are you looking to work on?Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 5:43 am I am losing sleep because of all the money I am lighting on fire for these over hyped "Skill guys". 0 correction, same flow drills, circuit stick handling around cones and most of all 0 passion. 80 bucks 20 kids on the ice and no one stopped my kid and showed him a damn thing in 3 weeks.

Maybe a list of who to stay away from would be more helpful. I’d be interested in what skills guys you have seen so far.

Good luck finding correction in a group setting. If they start doing that you will keep stopping the session. Most skills coaches will show the drill a few times and expect your kid pays attention and can follow. If he is doing it completely wrong most coaches will correct them. But if you want more attention to your kid sorry to say this but you will have to dish out the cash and go for privates.
Re: Best Trainer in GTA
I have done a few privates, my kid is a upper middle aaa kid. he is good but has bad habits and I have no idea how to help him, his shot is very inaccurate and wobbles. I have $ to spend but there is no one who can break it down and how he has to practice at home. My kid loves to practice but I feel like he is doing it wrong.
I have gone to RHA, Sk8 on, tim turk. Looking for a mentor and like an evaluation on what is wrong and how to get the proper technique. no one does this and most coaches are doing the spring tournaments..

Id love to help, my son is also a AAA player and I run skates for small groups and only small groups, for big group price. Anything else is not work it, its a career for these guys and they dont care about your kid. What area are you in, id love to work something out with you.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 8:38 am I have done a few privates, my kid is a upper middle aaa kid. he is good but has bad habits and I have no idea how to help him, his shot is very inaccurate and wobbles. Re: Best Trainer in GTA
What specifically are you looking to have corrected or taught? How old is your kid and what level does he play?
Re: Best Trainer in GTA
Have you played hockey? If so, perhaps you can teach the correction.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 8:38 am I have done a few privates, my kid is a upper middle aaa kid. he is good but has bad habits and I have no idea how to help him, his shot is very inaccurate and wobbles.
