The US teams are stronger because they take the best players available, not those with the deepest pockets…
That is AAA hockey in Ont, It’s rarely about how good you are it’s about who you know.
You sound bitter that your kid wasn’t good enough
Just making the move to AAA with my kid .. how much should I budget for a season of AAA, going to Brick and a 'reasonable' amount of extra skates? Getting worried I am over my head.
I would budget $10K for the season, including Brick.
lol brick and season alone $25000 total after it’s over
We are roughly 3500 of fees in OMHA, throw in a few extra skates, tournaments and driving likely $10K for a season. Brick is a whole different beast. A friend whose son played last year said close to $15K with all the hotels, pre tournament tournaments and skates… Good exposure but not a necessity.

I have heard $10K. They turned something good into a cash cow.

If you spend $15k on 1 month of Brick Spring hockey, you’re not crazy? Actually you’re not crazy, you’re just STUPID

15-20k by the time it’s all said and done. Let people live their lives without being harassed. You’re not their account or wealth manager - stay in your lane.
It’s a lot to spend on kids hockey and wouldn’t work for me, but who is mht to say what others should do.

7-10k for team tournaments, equipment, and practices
+ flights
+ hotels
+ food
+ other expenses

You’re mandated to stay in specific hotels and given a schedule of events to attend including dinners etc.

Factor costs of all the other events leading up to the Brick.

You are not allowed to participate in anything else until the Brick is complete.

Cheers

If your kid wants to go pro play Brick Hockey to give him the best chance. Maybe lots of kids not yet ready to play for the Brick. House league is one option but best option for high chance making the NhL is Brick. Hockey should be fun and not stress.

Good advice and thank you. I realize Brick is best chance to get to NHL. Trying to assess/ROI on the Brick. Will being a Brick Kid help in free skates with other teams, lower AAA costs, lower team costs?

This has to be satire.

It’s only for kids ready to play at top level hockey. Pay the money, take a loan do it if your kid is very Elite. It’s simple , if your player is good he will play Brick and make it. If he isn’t keep the money and don’t waste it.
