This has to be satire.
It’s only for kids ready to play at top level hockey. Pay the money, take a loan do it if your kid is very Elite. It’s simple , if your player is good he will play Brick and make it. If he isn’t keep the money and don’t waste it.
Confirmed satire. Lmao at taking a loan out for a 10 year old hockey tournament.

Dude, How else are you going to come up with $10K on the spot? The reality is 90%+ of families are on a 'budget'. There is not a surplus of funds in any month to go to a vacation, dinner out, clothes etc. How else will a family pay for it, if it is not a loan? Get your head out of the sand.

I have a wild idea. Now stay with me on this. But my idea is to not spend the money on it. Because it's dumb.

Credit to the kids who make it, it’ll be a tough age group to crack. Some good players are going to get left out. Credit to the parents who can make it work. Spend your time and money how you want.

Your kids will also be fine if they don’t make it but continue to put in work and develop. Not controversial, it’s just the truth.

This thread goes in circles. We all need to minimize costs for events like the Brick. Thus, the need for more 'volunteers', more 'sponsorships' but more importantly, a complete audit on all expenses related to the event. Is there a way to get cheaper practice ice, ensure event is not for profit, coaches covered with expenses only (no profit), less swag. You get it.

The King of the Rings is pretty darn close to the level of the Brick. And it somehow costs less than $200 a player.
