Kingston Jr. Gaels
Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
How many changes do you think QRD would make in this age group? The U12 team is pretty solid. I’ve watched them a bunch of times and they seem to play everyone. Didn’t realize equal ice was supposed to happen in AAA. DC and the rest of the parent coaches are doing a pretty good jobGuest wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 9:10 am This association is a joke. Coaches for next season will be just as bad. Only strong team is the U12 group my son plays on. With open borders next season, this team will struggle. Our better kids are leaving for QRD. Perhaps kids who deserve to play will finally get their chance. Our defence needs to be evaluated. The kids not getting regular shifts help the team way more than the ones who are getting all the ice time. Hopefully we get a coach who cares about the team and not just one player next season.
Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
Many kids chose KAHMA over GK this year - that says a lot. Both U18 AND U16 records are horrendous - and should speak volumes. A lot of time and money goes into our kids hockey season - our executive needs to invest some of their time to have a program that makes kids want to stay with GK not want to leave.
Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
MP could coach the U12 and they would still be near the top. We are still at an age where individual talent can be successful. The rest of the East is very weak at U12 other than QRD. Even that gap is closing very fast. Who said anything about equal ice time. But I did mention that the kids who are more beneficial to the team success are not the ones getting the additional playing time.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 11:44 amHow many changes do you think QRD would make in this age group? How many kids on your son’s team will leave for QRD and where will the QRD cuts go? Back to Kingston or Peterborough/NorthShore?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 11:44 amHow many changes do you think QRD would make in this age group? The U12 team is pretty solid. Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
2-3 F and 2 D gone next season from KJG. QRD making room as we speak for them. That way there is lots of shifts for "kids who deserve to play"Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 2:46 pmHow many kids on your son’s team will leave for QRD and where will the QRD cuts go? Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
Fake news. KJG movement won't be decided until coaches are named. KJG doesn't even have 2 D that could make QRD. 1 only if he decides to go.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 4:00 pm2-3 F and 2 D gone next season from KJG. QRD making room as we speak for them. Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
So I have recently seen that kAMHA and Ice wolves have there coaches. GK has numerous age groups with out. Please move on from ST and PM they have destroyed this org!
Re: Kingston Jr. Gaels
QRD is a deep group. Don't see anyone from our U12 being able to make the jump there next year and earn a roster spot.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 2:46 pmHow many kids on your son’s team will leave for QRD and where will the QRD cuts go?
