Let's get one thing clear.
No one voluntarily left.
The ones no longer on the team were cut.
Of course everyone wanted to stay, but you cut them, so some kids had to go to play AAA or higher caliber teams. More likely kids that stayed couldn't find a team. You only cut one kid last second, so his parents were struggling to find something for him.
Nevertheless, if ST got rid of previous coach and he will have no say on anything, level of drama falls, it could be a good entrance option to AA. not too strong, not too fast, but definitely not the worst place to try playing AA in GTHL. ST is better than A (and sometimes AA) in Halton or Brampton. Unless new coach stuffed the team with his son's friends, there should be enough spots available.
This post makes no sense. Sounds like a jealous cut rambling on.
Of course. Why all your so called “cuts” went AA and AAA and you could add new kids almost exclusively from A? Im sure that some kids in A are good and will easily adjust to AA, but still
Just to be clear- No one was cut last second.
No one went on to play AAA or a higher calibre of hockey as you claimed.
Sorry not sorry. Get your facts straight.
Never easy to cut a kid. At the right level your kid will succeed too.
I’m sure
Out of 6 kids that left the team 2 went aaa and 4went aa to teams that either finished higher last year of will finish higher next season. Only 1 was struggling to find a team initially because he was cut last minute.
If you can’t keep best players for 2 straight seasons, have no strong kids who want to work with you, it means people don’t like how you coach. Enjoy building your authority among last years A kids from omha

Interesting comments. Although it relates to 2 years ago and not this past year.
Maybe they were not coachable, maybe the players had behavioural issues…whatever the reason, the team dynamic was 💯 better this year. Wins and losses come and go. If you are only chasing letters and wins good luck to you. The values and life lessons learned from teammates and coaches will take you further in life than those wins alone. And while you are throwing out stats…of the kids that went to AAA, the 2015 player’s team didn’t make the first round of playoffs….the other had a worse record for regular season than ST & exactly same record in first RR playoffs.
As for the AA teams, neither NS or ST made it out of the first round robin. MT squeaked by first round and lost all 3 games I. Second pround robin….results speak for themselves. So….complain all you want.
Grand scheme of things…is your kid happy? is it the right fit for your kid? Is your kid developing alittle more than the year before? Are the parents and coaches a good fit for your family? Clearly 10 of those families felt it was a good fit. Maybe you didn’t and that is ok.
Not that unusual for changes to be made to teams each year…this year is a prime example….most AA teams did some major spring cleaning.
What I find even more hilarious is that you are still harping on something from 2 years ago. Move on. Get a life.

Haha right. Imagine your select kid finally cracks a AA team and you stumble across this chat about their new team. This parent is just defending the dream they were sold for $8000. The A dream. In AA. My advice. Delete this site from your devices before it’s too late. .Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 10:03 amTo ST parent or coach, you guys are the most sensitive on this chat group.
