Exactly. Some of these families haven’t played for him in years—give your head a shake.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 6:56 am this is idiotic just because these children played hockey with wood or was associated with the purple cobras organization doesn't mean they are apart of what happened nor agree with it.
The entire Colts team played for him, along with half of YSE, DMF, TM along with all of the American players. No one is condoning his actions, and most families distanced themselves the moment this came to light. Being charged with sexual assault is extremely serious, but to lump in every kid who’s ever played for him is completely unfair and irresponsible.
Re: 2015 AAA
Nope they don't get off the hook that easy. Sure many of them were all "oh little Johnny will go play and have fun" but other families, the ones called out here, knew and still went. They are 1000% on the hook and stained with this.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:27 amExactly. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. No one is condoning the fact that he’s been charged with sexual assault—that’s an incredibly serious matter and should be dealt with by the proper authorities. But to suggest that every parent knowingly looked the other way, or that every kid who played for him is somehow complicit, is completely off base.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:36 amNope they don't get off the hook that easy. You may not have liked how he ran his program, and that’s fair—but let’s be honest: this is the first time any of us are hearing about this kind of behaviour. To act like everyone knew is not only unfair—it’s flat-out wrong.
Re: 2015 AAA
The only people who should be looking in the mirror are the ones still playing for him in the Carnevale league or Tournaments after the allegations came out—and knowingly chose to stay.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:46 amYou clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Re: 2015 AAA
If you’re wondering which families are still involved —the 2015 and 2014 Purple Cobras teams recently rebranded as the River Rats in the Carnevale league, but they’re still wearing the Purple Cobras uniforms. All the names are listed clearly on the website.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:54 amThe only people who should be looking in the mirror are the ones still playing for him in the Carnevale league or Tournaments after the allegations came out—and knowingly chose to stay.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:46 amYou clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Is he still on the bench, or did the Carnevale League remove him—hence the name change?Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 8:47 amIf you’re wondering which families are still involved —the 2015 and 2014 Purple Cobras teams recently rebranded as the River Rats in the Carnevale league, but they’re still wearing the Purple Cobras uniforms. Re: 2015 AAA
If you have your kid playing on a team being coached by someone currently facing criminal charges, you gotta ask yourself 'what am I doing'.
Re: 2015 AAA
Before we paint everyone with a broad stroke, let's unpack this first:Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 11:16 am If you have your kid playing on a team being coached by someone currently facing criminal charges, you gotta ask yourself 'what am I doing'.
1. What are the criminal charges?
2. Have they told you they are facing criminal charges?
3. Is it a secret that they are facing charges?
4. Does the association know?
5. Would the charge affect their VSC?
In the eyes of the law, you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Depending on the seriousness of the charges, it would need to be determined if you should be removed from your position.
Just because you are "not a nice guy" doesn't mean they should be removed prior to the charges.
With open boarders and as always with spring hockey, you have choices as to where you want to play.
If you don't like playing for a coach, you can go elsewhere.
Again, is the coach really bad or is it a few disgruntled parents who were parent cuts or their kids just weren't good enough?
Re: 2015 AAA
Unfortunately, in today’s society it often feels like it’s guilty until proven innocent. I hear what you’re saying—but is he still on the bench or not? And if he is, did any players actually leave, or did they all stay? Like it or not, by sticking around, the perception is that you’re okay with his behaviorGuest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 11:49 amBefore we paint everyone with a broad stroke, let's unpack this first:Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 11:16 am If you have your kid playing on a team being coached by someone currently facing criminal charges, you gotta ask yourself 'what am I doing'.
