No one would have expected 5 straight losses. If they lose to the Sharks tonight then its game over for them.
I think they have a big win coming tonight!
I guess you were wrong.
Yep, any given Sunday. I hope they can get a win soon to get the monkey off their backs. What a hard way to start.
I actually watched the game last night....they are not the same team as last year or what they brought out at the summer tournaments. The Sharks are not any better and it could have been anyone's game. I cant see them moving up past the bottom 5.
Monkey off the back.
I wouldn't bank on being 1st just yet. Caps are fighting off flus with their players, but then again most teams are right now
13-0 vs VR? How many players are sick?

What is wrong with AA this year? There is so many bad teams out there. These teams belong in A at best

Parents with deep pockets is the problem. Their little duster needs to have that extra letter. Wait till next year, hitting starts and with it you will see a mass exodus from AA.
In the mean time, enjoy the season. Cause if they want to move up next year it’s gonna be a whole new ball of wax.

That extra letter is very expensive, look how many winless teams there are. That's so sad. These dads with money are not helping their kids this way. I just seen that Caps lost 13-0, that is really sad. Hey what do i know, Let Daddy tell his employees how good his kid is

They’re in AAA too. Deeper pockets.

It doesn't seem any different from any other year. The bottom couple teams always struggle. In a perfect world they would drop down and the top teams from below would move up. But, it is what it is. There are still legit AA players on those teams but they just made the wrong choice to commit and should have done better research on what they were getting into. And, it's not just the parents fault either but they should really have a better handle on how to make these decisions at this stage of the game.

I don't think the Caps have a lot of players on their roster, so if they did have even a couple sick it would likely ruin the game. The coach should have done a better job recruiting to avoid this scenario. I don't think they even have a coach right now.

I have to disagree with the notion that the West isn’t competitive top to bottom. The last place WML came within a goal of tying VR who are the top team in the province at this level. Consistency game to game might defer between the teams but plenty of good players top to bottom. Always going to be teams that win more than others as long as parents and coaches make it fun for the kids everyone should have a good experience.

I think there is some truth to what you wrote. You can't go to sleep against anyone or you could have a bad night (unless you are perhaps the top few teams). You should also keep things fun and pump the players tires. The division overall is competitive.

However, I think in West Mall's case their goalie is the reason for these close results, not the team. The goalie is not that skilled (yet) but he is enormous. That is the difference. I highly doubt the games vs. VR or Eagles last night are close at all without the goalie they have. Parents will look at the score and feel it's close but it wasn't. What were the shots for/against in those games? I would love to know. Was it a back and forth equal game? I highly doubt it. Put another goalie in net and you will see what happens. The score does not always reflect the game. You can dominate and still have a close game. That's hockey.

Looks like VR put 9 on him last night.
