EE mom posting her IG story here for some reason. read the room this aint your book club
OH such a grumpy bear. Can't you just congratulate excellence when you see it?

The tournament wins in a row, including a spring AAA trophy....wow!
Almost like this team shouldn’t be in AA. But hey I bet the kids develop just fine with no real competition. That’s how it works right?
Tons of competition this weekend! Lots of great teams across Ontario.
EE could beat some lower end AAA for sure. They don't play system hockey though and really rely on a couple good kids (tiny and fast) that tend to cherry pick or go end to end. It works at this age group at the AA and A level but it won't take them far as complete hockey player or at AAA.
First, it is funny/crazy that you think you know how EE plays when we are in the first few games of league play. Secondly, EE wouldn't be beating the top team in the province if they weren't playing some systems. Thirdly do you really think the kids are not capable of learning new systems in a few years when they are required to win.

The coach follows hockey Canada recommendations on what should be taught and how much time should be spent on each type of skill. Some coaches think they are smarter than hockey Canada unfortunately, because of it kids long term development suffers.
Saw EE beat MI 21-0. Neither team should be in AA.

Big night at Don Montgomery last night with two games and EE practicing all at the same time. At this stage, it's looking like this:

EE
(mid sized gap)
TR
(small gap)
NT
(small gap)
LF
SYB
WH
NYK
TA
SIR
(gap)
MI

That bottom-mid tier will have lots of good game this year.

From a competitive perspective it is too bad that the Teams in the West and East don't have the ability to play each other (with the exception of tournaments) more often. Both divisions have Top Tier teams that unfortunately will not meet up until the Finals when the winner of the East plays the winner of the West - IMO it would be great to see EE orTR play the likes of the Wolverines, Rangers, Beast, Sharks more often. Playing teams at the same caliber or above is the only way to have the kids improve. Playing teams and outscoring them by 20...no learning and frankly the kids are only picking up bad habits.

10 teams from each division; should take top 5 or 6 teams from each division and merge into 1, all games would be competitive team, put the bottom half teams in 1 division and you get much better hockey

I believe though that this is part of why you have very strong teams in AA. Parents who don't want to travel super far. I keep hearing about players on EE and TR who turned down AAA offers. If they wanted this kind of framework, they should have accepted those offers.

I think people need to realize blow outs, dominate teams and teams getting crushed are all part of minor hockey at this age, not just our division. Some examples would be the u10 AA results from prior years, the Markham AAA team just lost 24-0, and a couple years ago there was a titan AAA team that didn't even score until almost the last game of the season.
The gap has always been huge at this age. In a few years the gap between the bottom and top teams will close significantly. In the next few years the bottom teams will either blow up, combine, or fold. Lots of kids in AA will either need to drop down to A or step up their development significantly. There are kids in AAA that will drop and kids on select and A that will come up. It takes a couple years to work itself out.
This is U10 hockey, just keep the kids having fun and developing. There is a lot more to hockey than winning or losing.

East enders 4 - Ted Reeves 2
Second win in a row to take the division lead.

TR coaches handed the win to EE with 4 minutes of bench penalties acting like children. 'Ref, Ref, Ref'! Last game it was icing... Coaches need to redo the respect in sport course.

If that didn't do it they have a selfish kid taking a obvious 4 minute hit to the head. If I was a TR parent I would be embarrassed with their teams actions tonight.

Another win for the good guys.

No horse in this race but I’m told by many who know him that the EE coach is the most classless person you’ll ever meet.
