Speaking of scouts MM looks like he’s a Cub Scout out there. No way he can earn any more badges.

He’s 5’3” and about 135. Get serious. MM is lucky to still be in AAA
Ain’t no Fkn pudding way he’s 5’-3”.

Ain’t no way he’s over 5’5” either

Is it an advantage or disadvantage to be full grown at 13? I feel a lot of player going to get a reality check come minor midget. I see a lot of big boys getting bounced more and more each game. The gap will close again. Go watch a U16 game. Nothing replaces skating, compete level and hockey IQ can’t grow that. Enjoy the moment.

I saw a reality check this year. Some decent players went down with injuries thinking that it’s still baby hockey. The ones that avoided injuries or big hits have shyed away from touching the puck. Theyre bailing and that doesn’t show well for people watching. The bigger players will make a play and will always go for 50/50 pucks. The smaller players just can’t or won’t compete. The smaller players that have a will to battle unfortunately just don’t have the size advantage to win. Come this spring, next year and minor midget there will be more punishing players that will finish their checks. And yes they can skate. In the case of MM, people tend to give him kudos bz he’s offensively minded for a Dman but people that know, will comment correctly that size will be an issue as he’s a defensive liability. MM will not go for a 50/50 puck. The player will give up the 50/50 to play defence from the get go. Not good. We want possession. Top teams will recognize this and might passed him up as there are other bigger Dman that can skate and can read the game. And let’s be honest there are alot of them out there. Not only in the G but in the US. So yes enjoy the game while it lasts.

Facts? Are you stating that a 5’-7” / 6-0 tall 13/14 yo will stop growing?! It’s these players that become giants. Not all but the majority of them. You’ll get the odd 5’-3” that will continue to grow and become 6+ footers but can’t paint that scheme for all. The odds are against them. The odds are for
the tall ones will even get taller.

MM is 4-6” shorter than everyone else on the ice. It’s already over for him.

Would you rather be 5’0 tall at 13 and 5’8 at 16 and have all the scouts say holy shit he grew. Or 5’10 at 13 and 5”11 at 16 and all the scouts say holy shit he’s the same size as he was at 13. At the end of the day time will tell but from what I’m seeing most of the big boys have already out grow their parents and the ones that haven’t lack in the skill department. Will have to wait and see how it all pans out.

I would rather be 5’-7” NOW and have the potential to becoming 6ft+ versus being 5”-3” NOW and praying for a miracle. I bet yah all small kids wish the same. I bet 1000 to 1 that MM will not be 5’-8” next year Bantam
