OMHA is the farm system for the GTHL
Lucky bcs without that farm there wouldn’t be a G
NHL would look very different without the AHL. OMHA has a place in minor hockey develop players for the big league. Unfortunately some that come reality sets in and they become real angry when their kid isn’t top cheese anymore.
The G is made of top OMHA players. These top players attract other OMHA players into the G. Think about it, let’s say 1/3 (even though we know it’s more than that) of these teams are made up of OMHA players

Just like the GTHL are full of Greater Toronto players. Wrong!
“The reps top players are leaving”. in the dmf game the top player was floating at the redline the whole game. And the other one 88 just gets clocked every time he’s near the puck. If I was the reps coach I would be looking to solidify #9,#16,#66,#91, and #17. They are the true top dawgs on that team that make all the plays and score goals.

Well this poster does have a point.

If it wasn’t for the OMHA this league would basically be AA. Most of the ‘top dawgs’ come from outside the G. The G mainly develops soft boys and dads with deep pockets. Not much else.
