It will help the disparity of talent so I hope it happens. Maybe just bump NRPs to 5 at all ages and then allow kids to try out at lower ranked centres.

I just checked. 11 from the GTHL, 7 from the OMHA.
How does that look per capita? 🫢
OMHA, GTHL, these organizations have ZERO to do with a kid talented enough to get drafted. ZERO. The only thing they dictate is where you can play and how much money you have to pay. And make up such dumb rules as to just protect their balance sheet. Don't tell me what vaccine to get but restrict me and my money on where to play hockey. Dumb.

87 from OMHA and 86 drafted from the G for the 07 age group. 08s the OMHA was much stronger than the G. Depends on the year.
Those numbers fail to consider where the kids actually developed. Many OMHA stars (McDavid) get free rides and private school from the Elite teams in the GTHL in U15/U16 years.

Probably pretty close, not that it matters anyway. OMHA has what, 20-25 teams? GTHL has 12. Toronto wins.

They're all there because being higher up the hockey chain just gives them all boners, and a few wet ons.
Easy buddy. Haven’t seen any parents buying teams, bringing in their own coach and making sure their kid gets all the ice time in Peterborough.. that only happens in the corrupt GTHL my friend.
But yes, the OMHA executive sucks and they need to get with the times, move teams around for competitive balance.
