It’s still going, isn’t it all weekend? Tournaments are tournaments, what are you expecting to happen? It’s just a money maker to keep your kid busy, although at 2009 he should be hitting the books.

How soft we talking? Like build-a-bear soft or warm stick of butter in the sun soft?
He doesn’t want to play physical, he doesn’t finish a check, never in a million years would he fight, he’s scared of being hit or knocked down. That’s pretty normal for a 15 yr old going on 16 year old right?

GOOD LUCK .
Because these kids are realizing that they are not making the NHL, they are quitting or playing down and focusing on their education. I’d say that’s a pretty solid move.
Since when is chasing your dreams looked down upon? Go get your education and be a clog in the machine for the next 50 years. You’re what’s wrong with this new generation of Canadian society. You’ll be grinding and paying big $ money in taxes while Abdul next door lives the same life as you, with 3x the kids as you, and he’s never worked a day in his life.
When you have a calling, it’s speak from the heart, not the brain. Despite my kid not getting the call on draft day, he’s determined to carve out his path. A different way, the right way.
His Calling is ASHL wed night 10pm in the B Division. Your a bozo for thinking anything else. And a bigger bozo for continuing to spend money on a AA kid who doesnt even play AAA. You is a fool my man................... no wonder why your wife takes advantage of you.

Prolly a stay at home dad who doesn’t get out much!

Guest wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 12:26 pm Lots of soft players still looking to make aaa in this age group
AA kids are getting cut from A teams. I know of a few. From VR and TR. Best part is that both or at least one is still looking for players. Guess coaches are being picky even at A?! Lol
Not surprising that AA players are getting cut at A. The draft year is done, and AA is the worst level to play now, as you don’t get any benefit. You’re not in AAA and you’re just taking damage in AA, meanwhile the hockey in A is better then AA and you’re less likely to get hurt. The most important aspect is that you also have more time for school in A, which is crucial now that the 2009 group is going into grade 11.
keep in mind that some of us go to a superior private school education where they accommodate hockey schedules and provide extra tutoring when needed. So despite us having extra hockey and skill development, we still get a better education than the public school folks.

Guest wrote: Thu May 22, 2025 7:29 am A lot of late vacancies at every level of U17. Kids still looking or now choosing to drop down or quit? I know some A teams have only added AAA or AA kids. All these kids finally dropping to A to play with friends I guess. Guess this is why some A players are making the jump to AA for the first time. Not necessarily a great idea to enter contact for the very first time.
Oh, good than lots of room for my kid to make triple!
Absolutely insane of any kid to enter the Midget year and hit for the first time. The only reason they are making it to AA is because the AA kids went AAA or mainly a ton of AA kids dropped down to A, which is what happened. LOL who the hell wants to move up and take a beating now?? Parents are so dumb. Your kid isn't really good enough to play and they are 3 years behind with learning how to take a hit. All for another letter. Embarrassing
There is a reason why your kid has not made an AA team up until this year. Idiot parents.
Some these parents haven’t picked up a twig in their life.

You were definitely the last to get picked in dodgeball during gym class and it shows with this comment.
