The key is to ensure all teams more of less play the same number of games. The round robin is good but then divisions need to separate .. Top 8, bottom 8. Play a playoff series, Top 4, Bottom 4. Make finals only 2 of 3. We need to find a way that all teams get to play into April.

It’s on their website. I think non playoff means not in top 8 after round robin. In some loops even first round knockout can go to Clancy.

Where do you see the Clancy cup returning? And how would it work with only 2 teams(1 west & 1 east) not making the play offs in some ages?

Kinda makes the regular season pointless. Bring back founders for teams knocked out in first round and have the Clancy for non play off teams. Clancy cup is more fun then the regular season for non play off teams.

If they are bringing Clancy back then don’t even have play in round robin. Top 8 teams make playoffs, the rest enter the tournament if they wish.
Playing everyone is stupid it should be a series. 1vs8 2vs 7 etc makes for better hockey and a reward for hard work in the regular season

What are your thoughts on the gthl new playoff format. Every team essentially makes it with round robin play, but actual finals and semifinals series are very short.
