So what is EL's plan to get on the ice w his kids next year?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 1:25 pmEL not training them unfortunately. EC is a piece of work preventing EL and WW working with their kids and the rest of the team. Nobody wants to play for CJ and take a back seat to DO who has no sense of the game and just tries to go end to end from the point. VK drops down and REPS elevate next year.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 8:55 amIt’s Bullsh$t. Does anyone know which team it was? Thought maybe TM, or VK?
The AA kids were significantly less skilled.
The team I don't get is TT. Lots of money, sponsorship, EL training them, and they can barely beat TRW. I don't see the improvement with that group.

REPS taking NYR kids , TM kids , top 2/3 booooook itGuest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:01 amHave to cut your entire team for that. Re: 2015 AAA
Yeah tell 9 year olds to stop scoring. Maybe you should have made a better choice for your kid and not chased that extra A that he clearly didn’t deserve. All TRW parents made their kids bed, unfortunately the kids need to sleep in it now. Make better choices for next year. Don’t rely on other 9 year olds to take it easy on yours because you set them up to fail.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 9:45 amExactly! Agreed - it’s on the parents to know what they are signing up for. End of the day - no one here is making it to the NHL. There are way too many parents living through their kids. Give it up. Let them enjoy the game, learn life lessons, and develop.
A, AA, and AAA all lead to the same path - beer league. Don’t
Put them in a high level if you can’t accept this. It doesn’t matter in the end other than the parents ego.
Reps only beat them last night 2-0.

I don't agree with this. You're telling me SR won't make the show? Somebody has to...
Re: 2015 AAA
The stats are that a handful of kids from the GTHL will make it to the NHL. Now that said, that's looking back at U16 rosters, which often include foreign players and OMHA imports. It's impossible to project from 9 years old on. SR is a great 9 year old player. When he goes up against bigger stronger D, he tends to struggle a little. There are some D in this league that consistently stop him and have not allowed him to score. But that's why he's playing AAA...to learn to be shiftier and better. It's all a process. Hockey tends to have a more direct line in that the best at 9 do sometimes hold on to be the best at 18/19. More than in other sports. Him being a smaller player, his ceiling is likely that of a Caufield/Gaudreau/Kariya. Certainly nothing to sneeze at. As for floor...yeah a ton of guys dominate at u10 and end up in tier 3 Italy. Will be exciting to see where he and other players get to. I think we should celebrate where these players are right now for what it is and not get ahead of it with lofty expectations.
Re: 2015 AAA
There will be 2012.2013,2014,2015,2016,2017 GTHL players that make the NHL. Every year GTHL players make the NHL. How many is the question. Most won't make it but Enjoy the ride.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 12:57 pm The stats are that a handful of kids from the GTHL will make it to the NHL. Re: 2015 AAA
No idea who is going where, but while we play on a top 3 team we have family friends on Reps and from what I hear they have a good staff with patient hard working coaches, they def seem to put in more time than our coaches and while we are not moving, if we did, that appears to be a healthy group for growth and development worth consideringGuest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:12 amREPS taking NYR kids , TM kids , top 2/3 booooook itGuest wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:01 amHave to cut your entire team for that. Some players that graduate the GTHL from 2015 year of birth will eventually make the NHL, history tells us that.
But that doesn't mean those guys are currently playing U10 in the GTHL, they could be playing up or elsewhere and some may be playing lower levels at this age.
Will 1-2-3 current GTHL U10 (2015) players make the NHL? Probably, but honestly we have no way of knowing which ones.
We will know more in 6 yrs when real hockey is played.
