The COW don't have any true AAA kids. They put all their best players on one line. Their best Defence man is average and will likely leave along with their #1 goalie.
They’re not any better or any worse than APR, NS, MW, NCP, PP. If your statement were true, more than half of the loop is not AAA caliber and that’s just not the case. All teams have a player or two that are on the lower end.
I agree completely. Over half OMHA East players right now are not at the expected caliber. This league is to be for the elite players and it's not that anymore. Very watered down. I see it with our KG group. My son is one of them. Seems to be even more of a drop off for defense.

Completely watered down. These are the development years and only half of the teams are being developed. That’s why you see such a fall in talent. If you look at the older age groups many of them didn’t start shortening the bench or using special teams until U15 or later. As a whole we’ve gotten carried away with being elite vs actually developing strong hockey players. The further you zoom out, the more you see what a problem it is.

All you parents should shut up and enjoy the ride. You do realize every one of your kids are going to be playing in the same beer league in a few years and you will miss the good times because of bitching and complaining. It’s sad that a platform like this exists for parents to cry about other kids and coaches

Agree. And thank you for this comment - what MHT should be about. Discussing general things about clubs, teams etc. Can you all stop naming kids and identifying them? It’s actually awful. Many of these are accessing MHT (with or without their parents knowing because they have phones) and this is the kind of stuff that leads to potential mental health crisis. Keep it about hockey in general. Any parents on here identifying and shaming kids should be ashamed of themselves. Clearly you’re a coward and you have issues if you need to bash kids anonymously.

COW unfortunately is plagued by geography. Recruiting quality kids will be an issue, regardless of good or bad coaching. The central ish teams should benefit the most. I still think the best new coaching staff will be the MW. He has a lot of work to do but he could literally change that team if ppl are willing to make a ballsy move. The club as a whole has quality coaches and teams, this age group was just plagued by a parental bench for too long. I actually hope they improve and make it to the middle 5 next year.

Agreed. Bunch of low life losers who have nothing better to do than gossip about children and call around to get the latest about where Jimmy or Johnny is playing next year so they can feel like Big Men for knowing what’s going on in 2013 hockey. Mind your own fckn business and get a life.
