Just got my kids U9 Local League schedule. 1400km of away travel this season for LOCAL League. What the actual Not Allowed!
Can OMHA or someone please step in here! It's half ice local league hockey, why is a LOCAL league allowed to mandate games that involve upwards of 2hrs of travel to get to? I'm driving through\past 4+ centers I won't even play against this season under a league scheduled game.

Complained to board, they said it's not up to them and that they drive it every year (They are ALL rep parents who are clearly over dedicated to hockey). Again it's called LOCAL League.. not rep\select\MD\A whatever, LOCAL.

And next year they are putting in these stupid A zones for rep and pushing more kids to the rep levels, making fewer local league teams and will increase travel even more.

Probably have to pull my kid from hockey, jesus this world has gone mad. U8 we travelled no more then 30 mins for games the entire year, where did the fun of just playing go?

Pretty sure I know who this is, seriously shutup already and go play dutch hockey, reach forth, etc. Your kid is terrible and shouldn't even be in minor hockey anyway. They really should have minimum skills required for kids to be allowed to play.
