There were some obvious snubs, Misa, Sennecke, Parekh and others. Canada could be represented so much better without the politically motivated decisions.

My kid went to US prep for 2 years and theyre way ahead of Canada. They prioritize development over winning. Coaches in G are motivated by many things and development isn't one of them. These guys should be thrown out on their ass.

Cherry warned the CHL about allowing foreign players. Those kids go back to their countries programs and tell them what we have here and some countries now actually put resources into youth hockey.

Bingo. Stop allowing other countries to tap into our top development leagues etc. There is enough talent for it to be Canadians only. No need for Americans or Europeans to join. The CHL etc is part of the problem developing other countries talent. How about we develop our own.

The better athletes in Canada are playing soccer and basketball. Both teams at the international level are competitive. Canada has according to the IIHF 586 000 registered hockey players, Latvia 7 800.
If Hockey Canada were serious about growing the game, improving the product then they have no choice but give every boy a chance to compete and learn, not just play.
If not they'll lose a generation.

I'm Eastern European descent with a family member who was in the NHL. Regardless, it's hard for anyone involved in the game to deny the focus is on boys whose parents are well off, it's good for business, not the game.
The other point which I find actually funny is how hockey is a tough, contact, team oriented sport, clearly not suited for everyone. Yet again the focus for some teams are on boys who don't fit the mold. From a competitive standpoint a complete waste of time.
