2025 NHL Draft: Is the OHL Overlooked?

The NHL Central Scouting mid-season rankings are out, and the OHL has a strong showing, especially from the Sarnia Sting and Lambton Jr. Sting alumni. But is it enough? Are these players being properly valued compared to their counterparts in other leagues? Jack Nesbitt and Cameron Reid, both Lambton alumni, are highly ranked, but could we see a draft day surprise with their positions?

Sarnia Sting's Beamish, Karimov, and Kostuch also made the list. Beamish's late OHL debut yet strong ranking raises an interesting question: does a shorter OHL season impact draft projections? And how much will Kostuch’s injury affect his draft stock?
