NYHL U9 2017 Elite Division
It looks like Leaside just posted an announcement on their website that they will be joining the NYHL U9 Elite Division.
The LHA is pleased to announce the LHA will be joining the recently established NYHL U9 (2017) Elite Division for the 2025 -26 season. The Elite Division is designed to give our U9 RED players a robust Tier 1 competitive experience against other participating clubs like North Toronto, Ted Reeve, Vaughan Rangers and Humber Valley.
Evaluations are posted for next week - Tuesday and Thursday evening

Re: NYHL U9 2017 Elite Division
so is my history correct?
-NYHL (West & East) select teams, all is good
-East teams mad, namely Leaside and NT, start own league (CDS) w hockey canada guidelines (cross / half / full ice)
-Grow CDS so mass exodus from east NYHL teams, no real "elite" though, one off occurances
-Klevr shows up, 2 years ago, despite haters hate, grow exponentially, steal all the crazies all over ON including NYHL and some CDS
-Klevr has tier 1 all the way to tier 200 with amazing Insta and 50% higher fees
-GTHL and OMHA sanctioned lost at what to do!
Toronto traffic hits fever pitch, Toronto is 1 hour from Toronto
-"Elite / AAA track 5/6/7/8 year olds" launch own version of Klevr and Call it the Elite division of NYHL
-War of who is elite Klevr vs. NYHL
Next year, old NYHL kinda has a deeper "elite" and shallow tier 2/tier 3
CDS has Deep tier 1/tier 2 and whatever is left
Debate ensues can Elite NYHL compete w Elite Klevr & elite MD or MD1
Klevr contracts or expands and swallows NYHL Elite? Maybe Klevr gives own division calls it...

News flash to all the crazies...nothing matters until your kid is U12. Have fun spending $$$ for no reason at 8 years old. LOLGuest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 2:01 pm Too late, KSL already signed all good kids.
Re: NYHL U9 2017 Elite Division
Klevr is not that much more expensive depending on what team you are on. Prices vary from $2500-5500. Top teams like Young Kings is around $4000 and I believe Raiders (this year's U10 JRC) was around $2600. More tournaments and ice than some non-Klevr teams. So no, parents aren't wasting money, in fact, may be saving money compared to other traditional leagues
Re: NYHL U9 2017 Elite Division
Top teams like YK, Raiders, have more sponsorship, price can be lower to 5k range. If you ask team like Star, Aces, they all ask 7k+. Experience from older age group, you will expect owner ask 2-3k more after you are in hook. Extra practice, game etc.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 17, 2025 10:12 pm Klevr is not that much more expensive depending on what team you are on. Prices vary from $2500-5500.
