I am at my whits end with the quality of training. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places... but Every camp we attend, the coaches either do generic drills around pilons or do games.

I always ask my kid what the coach said and usually the response is "he said nothing much, bend your knees more etc"

Who are good trainers that teach in game skills vs the go around pilon coaches?

What age? Level A, AA, AAA, house league?
Are you talking about private, semi-private, small classes, or full mixed classes?

Jordan Katz is the best in the business, he has made my son a "AA" player in the G playing a year up. He played tier 3 select the previous season in the NYHL.

Jordan is also a school teacher and can relate to the kids like no one else can. He will be our on ice trainer next year. U10 AA Islanders.

Skating is the most meaningful. Get a figure skating instructor that specializes in power skating for hockey. There are quite a few people/schools out there.

Pike has developed a lot of players.

figure skating coaches are a waste. Find a power skater and a skills coach,

are the best sessions we have been to. The instructors are all very good and explain what to fix
