Teddy Bear Toss Mayhem A New OHL Tradition?
So, apparently, tossing teddy bears onto the ice isn’t enough excitement for some OHL teams. Two incidents in one week – a full-on line brawl during the Ottawa 67s game and a top prospect launching bears back into the stands – have me wondering, what’s going on here? Are these isolated incidents, or are we seeing the birth of a strange new tradition? Is this a sign of growing frustration and tension in the league, or just some misplaced holiday spirit?
What are your thoughts? Is this just boys being boys, or does this warrant further action from the OHL? Could we see stricter rules surrounding teddy bear toss games in the future? And perhaps most importantly, are these incidents taking away from the charitable aspect of the event? Let’s discuss. I’m predicting we haven’t seen the last of the teddy bear toss drama this season. What do you think?
