Thanks to SIR for a great series. By far the best competition all session. No quit, great goaltending.

All jokes and shit talk aside, I’d like to congratulate all teams in the loop west and east for a super competitive season. The parity has never been better. Congratulations to the Eagles a great team. Enjoy the summer. Looking forward to next season.
Congrats to Applewood Coyotes. Champion of the cities.
Huh? I thought that was for AA only.
They beat TE in the final.
Applewood was a top team and are deserving to be amungst the tops in East & West. Although, TE just finished a hard fought series with SIR and likely mentally had checked out going into a 1-game winner take all with Applewood who had nothing but time to prep and scout. Credit to Applewood for winning the MHL, but they would not last in a first to six points series with TE or SIR or VRE, HVS or TA.
A 1 game take all series, yeah that is not a championship. Good for them, but yeah a 6 pt series they would not beat any of those teams.

Do you actually get something for wining this game? Or is it just bragging rights? Like a fun “winner take all” showcase-type exhibition game? Playing 1 game seems underwhelming after finishing 4 separate playoff SERIES ….. 8 teams to 4 to 2 to 1. I know this was a big deal in U13 single A when you’d get to move on to the Provincial championships (shout out to 2010 West Hill U13A), but I honestly didn’t know the winner of the U15A GTHL playoffs had a random 1-gamer against the winner of the U15A MHL playoffs.

They do this game for every year. I think it should at least be a best of 3, first to 4 points instead of one game but it is what it is. Again, sure it's one game but Applewood won, and they've won their fair share of games and tourneys the last couple years. Yet after they do people always have an excuse because they aren't from their own league. lol Same as when they won silverstick last year, which had VRE, NT and some good West teams in it as well. Anyway, they are a strong team.

Clearly MHL teams wouldn’t do well against the superior G. Silver stick last year AC, silver stick this year PC. Just not on your level. /S

Nothing is given for winning this game. It’s basically an exhibition game and nowhere near the actual city championships of U13A. Congrats to TE for finishing first in the 2024/2025 Ontario rankings. Can’t debate their mathematical equation of first place after 60+ games over 8 months playing multiple leagues.
