Give it a rest and talk about something more creative / positive. There seems to be a lot of parity so far (beyond the top few teams and WM at the bottom). This is good news for the loop.
Re: 2010 GTHL AA West
My first take on teams I have seen (albeit only once so doesn't mean much):
Rangers - amazing, skilled team. Mostly fast and skilled with one giant player who is huge and fairly well coordinated for his size. They can easily exploit mistakes with many players that can burn you.
West Mall - weakest team I have seen. Some quick forwards but on the small side. Some size on defence but some weak players back there. Giant goalie who is rough around the edges but takes up a lot of net. May finish the season better than they start but my take is they will have last locked up (could be wrong as I haven't seen some others).
Terriers - good solid team. Some good speed up front with some good engines. A couple strong D with size. Overall, a threat to anyone on their day but not sure they can hang consistently with the top three.
Eagles - a fast team but not quite as skilled as the top few teams which could cost them in a close game. Overall a threat most nights but feel like they can't hang with the top 3.
Beast - decent team with a couple great players. Supposed to have improved since last year but my gut tells me they struggle to make the playoffs as some other teams have also improved. Their goalie was big but seemed to struggle a bit in the game I watched (maybe just an off night).
THIS IS NOT A GOOD ANALYSIS AT ALL. JUST SOME FIRST IMPRESSIONS. OF THE TEAMS ABOVE, MY RANKING IMPRESSION WAS AS FOLLOWS:
RANGERS
TERRIERS
EAGLES
BEAST
WEST MALL
Terriers and Eagles are close so that's a hard one.
