2014 AAA
Re: 2014 AAA
lol u serious? Doesn’t take much these days to offend peopleGuest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 12:13 pm Youth hockey culture is just brutal. There's certainly a bully-ish component to it mostly from parents. Over the past decade or so I've noticed that parents have a need to put anything their kids does hockey-wise on social media - goals, passes, skating ability, wins, look at me I got player of the game. It's more than just being proud, for some parents and teams it feels like a put down to other kids and teams that lost. I am not particularly enjoying much of this.

Do you get offended when people clap for the other team? You have zero self esteem
Re: 2014 AAA
they got better. watch out.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:42 pmWho did TM get at tryouts?
Re: 2014 AAA
So you don't find all the social media posts of the same teams winning and same kids getting appreciated (by their parents) clogging up your news feed? It's funny no one does this for school. I never see anyone brag when their kid makes the honor roll, but score a goal or win a tournament they want the whole world to know. Maybe their kids suck at school. There's just no reason to be posting about hockey every single weekend, but I see it over and over. How people don't realize how obnoxious and pompous they are is beyond me.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:55 pm Do you get offended when people clap for the other team? You have zero self esteem

Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 1:49 pmIt’s always been like this. The reason why it’s surprising to you is because you were never involved in it as a kid and were to busy making paper airplane’s. You are soft and deserve to be kicked in the nuts for your comment.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 12:13 pm Youth hockey culture is just brutal. Encourage your kid to be a good person, kind, caring and at the same time make him/her have good set of work ethic. Everything will work out from family kids hockey studies work etc. Don’t be a dad or mom that gets jealous of others or put down others ( you know who you are), don’t come here and say oh you are weak or put down kids because in your mind the kids aren’t good enough. Ask yourself is this the guy my wife or partner or girl friend or boyfriend married or is with me? Ask yourself how do your kids look upto you? If you aren’t sure make someone else ask. There is always time to adjust. Moral of this post, don’t be an idiot, be humble and happy!
Re: 2014 AAA
lol...well they got nobody at tryouts...TM, like all teams, had their roster filled long before tryouts.
They lost two of their best forwards. They picked up a forward from the Red Wings. Dumped a couple pieces that didn't get any ice time last year.
They'll be very good of course...but they def didn't get better and there are other teams that are closing the gap with the improvements they made.

I don't post about my kid, but if it bothers you so much, don't click? It probably wasn't meant for you.Guest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 3:33 pmSo you don't find all the social media posts of the same teams winning and same kids getting appreciated (by their parents) clogging up your news feed? No denying they lost two of their better forwards however, the replacements they got are equally as good if not better and in my opinionGuest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 21, 2025 4:17 pmlol...well they got nobody at tryouts...TM, like all teams, had their roster filled long before tryouts.

Time will tell the forwards they did get TRW, kid and the southern tier kid will be right up there amongst the leaders in the league
