HVS still looking for players.
HVS is simply not a good place for development. It has been problematic all the way back to the U8 year of these 2015s when the entire top tier team except for the coach’s (worst player) son left to GB or Klevr having realized that they are not being properly developed because the coach has a barely passing interest in hockey. At U9 they had a terrible team and the he coach forced kids into set positions on Day 1 and then didn’t rotate them to give the players experience and allow them to shine where they fit best. He also favours certain players and will play a short bench and make it clear that it’s a form of punishment. Several parents on this year’s team should have complained to the organization but didn’t probably because the coach is very enmeshed in the system.
To summarize: there is no positive to going there. U10-12 are still formative years and development should be a priority.

No need for racism. It does sound like a combo kid/parent cut.
And from reading this asshats posts he is the bigger problem of the 2 no doubt.
You may not be able to appreciate how much a player loses in a bad development year at this stage. By committing to rep hockey, and especially in the G, there is an expectation that the coaching will be solid, that the families are invested in seeing their kids and first and foremost that every member of the team is being developed with the same principles in mind. There is a problem when a coach has one of his own kids on a team and that kid benefits from extra ice time or even just being on a team that they're not good enough for. Just like there is a problem when a coach makes U10 the cornerstone of his career and treats the playoffs as if they are the Stanley Cup. It's not about the coach - it's about the kids.
Every coach should look back at the end of the season and be able to say, each of those kids really developed to their potential. Of course you may come across problem kids who have behavioural issues on or off the ice, or who can't play nicely with others, or who aren't committed to working as hard as the rest of the team. But for the most part, these are committed families in terms of time and money and coaches should see that very very seriously as their obligation to do their very best.
If HVS is still looking for players then obviously parents aren't tripping over themselves to go there. For a reason.
