2015 AA
Re: 2015 AA
Nobody relevant left DD. But Chico got a couple of old students to come back. They will be better next year.
TE core is not staying, they are losing at least 5 most of those are going to FT.
All 3 under age kids at TW left.
WML got a couple of OMHA kids I heard.

So FT is going to be dominant with TE scraps that had trouble handling the Terriers?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:59 am Nobody relevant left DD. But Chico got a couple of old students to come back. They will be better next year.

Re: 2015 AA
And they will all try to get on the top AA teams. So each of the top 4 teams will have one or two of these kids. That won't give any of them an advantage over each other. At most you will get a bigger gap from top and bottom teams.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:15 am You will see, although those kids have been cut from AAA, having played at that pace for a season makes a huge difference. The speed and transition is way slower at AA, even if you're coming from a bottom AAA team they'll be that much further ahead.

Those kids will receive proper coaching finally.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 12:06 pmSo FT is going to be dominant with TE scraps that had trouble handling the Terriers?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:59 am Nobody relevant left DD. Re: 2015 AA
HVS is simply not a good place for development. It has been problematic all the way back to the U8 year of these 2015s when the entire top tier team except for the coach’s (worst player) son left to GB or Klevr having realized that they are not being properly developed because the coach has a barely passing interest in hockey. At U9 they had a terrible team and the he coach forced kids into set positions on Day 1 and then didn’t rotate them to give the players experience and allow them to shine where they fit best. He also favours certain players and will play a short bench and make it clear that it’s a form of punishment. Several parents on this year’s team should have complained to the organization but didn’t probably because the coach is very enmeshed in the system.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 5:32 pm HVS still looking for players.
To summarize: there is no positive to going there. U10-12 are still formative years and development should be a priority.
Re: 2015 AA
They didn’t run a short bench. Probably should’ve. Coach and his assistants were good. Team went into a funk for a couple months… it happens. Really good group of defenceman but could use some help up front.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 8:13 pmHVS is simply not a good place for development. Re: 2015 AA
Yeah and they also beat a lot of the top teams and came a goal from advancing to the division finals in the playoffs. Honestly TE is the most puzzling team in the loop. The talent is there but clearly there is a lack of maturity even more than what you would expect out of kids this age level.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 12:06 pmSo FT is going to be dominant with TE scraps that had trouble handling the Terriers?Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:59 am Nobody relevant left DD. Many people at HV were able to see what the situation was last year and left before having to continue to experience it.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 7:05 amGuest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 8:13 pmHVS is simply not a good place for development. Given the performance of the team this season, it was the right call.
