I think its cool if your kid is into it - clearly the kid is on the ice all the time. Only the parent and others close to them will know if the kid is being "forced" beyond the normal amount everyone forces their 5yo kid to play hockey sometimes.

However, what I REALLY don't like, is the instagram stuff. I post things my kid is doing, but I keep it pretty low key, a picture here, a video there. etc. But its guys like this that are simply TOO much in my opinion. But, I generally dislike all things social media, so I am probably biased. Its just about being as self-centered as possible and I think its seriously damaging to kids. You are just opening up your kid to a bunch of internet trolls. Setting expectations that can never be met. Quite frankly, the kid is going to have such a skewed view on the world, and an overall focus on the wrong things. Individual skill instead of teamwork / leadership / and hard work.

I know this is a Minor Hockey Talks, and its literally the worst place in the world. But, let me rant for just a quick second here.

SOCIAL MEDIA is killing our kids. You shouldn't have a "fan account" of your son/daughter where its their name and you post in the first person for them. Its weird.

We all love our kids, and we want to show we are proud of them, but there is a fine balance of healthy and complete poison. In my opinion, this guy is poison.

I was told that he’s on LTD for a “back injury”. Takes his kid to the rink and speeding up the videos is his full time gig. Seen this guy pushing a wheelbarrow and doing yard work around his house a dozen times, his back can’t be that bad. Fraudster in every sense of the word.

Your kid is great. My advice is keep a low profile as his parent. You’ll have plenty of parents and coaches trying to knock him down. Also make sure you stay away from the Young Kings horrible.

As a dad with multiple AAA players, I understand you want what's best for your kid but you're putting a target on his back. The posts stating "wow" and "amazing" are asking for haters. People will wish your kid failure. Coming from a good place man. Keep a low profile and take it easy with posts stating how amazing your kid is. It's a long go and no kids keep the pace until minor midget. People are going to rejoice if you fail and he's unlikely to be this good in 6 years. Wish you the best but it's the truth. Brady Wallace's Dad: This will be the last time I speak out in this forum. Thanks for the insight, with all due respect I don't agree. The hate doesn't come from his social media account, the hate comes from his talent! This was evident the first time he stepped on the ice at just 4 years old playing with older kids! I had to remove him for his safety 3/4s of the way into the season after an intentional head injury he received to which he still gets headaches to this day. This was before I had any social media for him! The problem is the parents involved like some of the guys in this forum and that visit my son's profile! These are the types of people that pay coaches under the table so their kids can make better teams to which they are not deserving! This is the true definition of a "crazy hockey parent! I believe my social media profile has a purpose by opening up some people's eyes to the reality of how sad some of the parents and coaches are and to what lengths they will go! My son and I have enjoyed training together from the very beginning and nowhere have I ever predicted his future past tomorrow. For every 1 hater it has 10 supporters... which is why his profile receives the engagement it does. Jealousy is a dangerous thing, always has been and always will be! I hope these guys can find happiness and that their children can live up to the expectations of the parents. All the best

No not at all actually. I am just looking into the validity of your claim. I would assume if you can make such a bold statement about this man that affects his entire family that you would have no issues mentioning who you heard it from as well as where you watched him push a wheel barrow a dozen times. Seems pretty minor compared to the claims you are making.
