U14A complete downgrade from last year. Looks like they traded one coaches favouritism (SAC cult) for another’s. This coach doesn’t even believe in kids hitting, so how’s he going to handle the first year of contact for these kids? Heard he had the same “no effort” assistant coach as last year too, what a treat!Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 3:16 pmU14AA had 4 players return-->10 new kids and 2 new goaliesGuest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 1:56 pm Does anyone have information on how the Open Borders affected each team? It would be interesting to see the breakdown by team.
The U9MD --> U10AA team had 3 kids make YSE, 7 kids return, 4 kids cut to A and 2 kids left for Stouffville. 9 New Players out of 16.
U14A seems to have had some movement, -->2 kids from AA went down and the new coach brought up I think 5 of his BB buddies, both "AA" goalies as well. Coach cut the problem kid/mom combo sent them to UYA A. Team seems almost 50/50 new vs returning. hopefully all NEW coaching staff.
U15A seems to have had minimal movement
Not sure if AMHA actually has any rep teams above U16 this year. Last year they did not.

Sorry but when you say u14AA and u14A are you talking about the 2011 age group?Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 3:16 pmU14AA had 4 players return-->10 new kids and 2 new goaliesGuest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 1:56 pm Does anyone have information on how the Open Borders affected each team? No, 2012 age group. 2011 would be U15Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 4:43 pmSorry but when you say u14AA and u14A are you talking about the 2011 age group?Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 3:16 pmU14AA had 4 players return-->10 new kids and 2 new goaliesGuest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 1:56 pm Does anyone have information on how the Open Borders affected each team? Re: Aurora Hockey
The U11AA --> U12AA team had 0 kids make AAA, 7 kids left, 2 assistant coaches quit, star goalie left, and 5 Aurora A kids moved up including 2 A goalies. Considering how much the other teams in the division improved, it would be hard to do worse than last year, but this team will find a way to do worse. Coaching & development is atrocious to non-existent.Guest wrote: ↑Tue May 13, 2025 1:56 pm Does anyone have information on how the Open Borders affected each team? The U11A -- U12A team only retained 3 kids, a couple moved up, lots of upperyork B kids will improve this team. Assistant coach from upperyork can only improve the coaching & development from last season. Heard a rumor going around that someone from AMHA had a hand in cutting majority of Aurora A kids to ensure they fill the B team. Hope that's not true.

Re: Aurora Hockey
you sir, are a ignorant twat waffle. The AMHA has had a mass exodus in multiple teams and age groups. The only reason you have ANYONE wanting to join, is simply because they do not know better. Next year, they too will leave. Then what? Your 2012 and 2011 teams are made up mostly of out of town players, what does that tell you?Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:06 amIt is open boarder, feel free to go somewhere else. 2013's also mostly NRP players. The guy is right. AMHA is in trouble. CS is running the association into the ground, and he hasn't even been president for that long.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:37 amyou sir, are a ignorant twat waffle. Re: Aurora Hockey
Drving the Aurora kids out of town is not something you should be proud of. If you think you won by forcing them out, you might want to reconsider.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:06 amIt is open boarder, feel free to go somewhere else. This team is mostly the NM-A team, plus a few girls’ players. Many of parents are not allowed at other organizations, Aurora will be a great fit.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 15, 2025 10:40 am2013's also mostly NRP players. The guy is right. AMHA is in trouble.
