Serious question? Do you think any of the volunteers who run Elgin give a crap who leaves? They spend hours volunteering their time, to make the organization run. Serious question? Do you think any of the volunteers who run Elgin give a crap who leaves? They spend hours volunteering their time, to make the organization run. I don’t think many are running to LJk as most LJK are running to EMC and done say they have already been approached to play on the team. What will happen most of the mid players will be looking after first group is signed. They will not wait to get a home in U18AAA. The teams that might get the opportunity to get better players are Sarnia and Brantford.

There are alot of good well intentioned people that serve on boards. They have zero self interest and are simply giving back to their community. Yes these type of people do exist. Then there is elgins board. Filled with self serving garbage. The problem is the parents/membership treats the good and bad board members exactly the same way-With hate - contempt and suspicion. Everyone assumes the worst in every decision that is made. Board members are instantly hated and marked for destruction. Heres the rub - the truly evil people can weather it because they are first to give it out. They are only on the board for their own political agenda and know how to manipulate members and coaches so their weak kids get preferential treatment . The good well intentioned board members and coaches will always get blind sided by the evil - and their kids will pay the price. Why would any decent person want any part of it? They wouldn’t!. This is why boards are full of evil self serving people. Open borders will make boards even worse. Thankfully you can shop around orgs now.

The board has some good people. The “evil” is executed at the coaches level. Its the coaches that ultimately fk with the kids. Alot of the board are scumbags but the worst they can do is manipulate the process to get a shitbag coach in. The true evil starts when the coach is picked. Some of the worst human beings ive ever met have coached in elgin. And we are getting a couple more evil all stars for next year.
