Yup, but if the team loses all the time and is known as "losers" then they will just keep getting more shit kids and parents. They might continue to exist, but they will just be known as that shit team no one wants to play for.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 6:51 pmThere will always be letter chasers and parents willing to pay up so their kid can play at a level he has no business being at. Burlington? Milton? Hamilton/Glancaster? Regardless of the Oakville executive, do you honestly think kids are going to flock to those other orgs? I'm sure at least half the players in Burlington are already making plans to leave LOLGuest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 7:30 pm Gotta love what Oakville put out on their website about it, basically that since they are the biggest they are the best and will crush all the other centres and attract the best players. Their executive is severely delusional. LOL
“Half the players in Burlington making plans to leave”. You sir are a clown. The Rangers organization is no better than the Eagles. The only thing you should be chasing is a coach and the environment he creates. Leaving one centre because another is “better” is fools gold. Rangers have their share of great coaches as well as their share of guys who should never have been given a team. Absolutely no different than Burlington or Milton. Crest and logo mean nothing.
Just look at it once you play U12 AAA in Burlington by the time you get to U18 they keep 3 Burlington kids and pick up
All talent from elsewhere proves they have terrible Development

There are kids that have quit because of ahole coaches and these dumb residency rules. Some will move up sure, but some just want to go sideways to a well managed association or team that has their *hit together. You'll have parents that will drive to the end of the earth for a league letter AAA but let them if they want to, it'll get old fast. This should be a wake up call to all those poorly run associations that think no one will leave. LOL Morons! Players now have the control and it's ABOUT TIME!Guest wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 6:51 pmThere will always be letter chasers and parents willing to pay up so their kid can play at a level he has no business being at. Re: OHF Opening borders??
I am not up on the AAA rules but I was told by a non reliable person the 'imports' for AAA clarification were players from another league. eg: OMHA AAA team could only have 4 players from Alliance/GTHL but unlimited players from other OMHA centres. Does this make sense?Guest wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:12 pmWhat age group? Some of the older age groups (08,09,10) may have been grand fathered in with unlimited imports at AAA. OMHA removed Import caps at AAA a few years ago but then changed the rule again to cap the # of imports after a couple seasons.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 10:54 pmCurrently it’s 4 imports at AAA so how is it possible to have 7 unless they are coming in with address changes then obviously they are not classed as imports. With open borders the existing rule of imports no longer applies. Orgs will decide on capping or leaving it open. I think it will be non capped.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 9:47 pmHa. There has never been a cap. Not sure how people get their information. It’s all based on what the org decides. The omha does not care. Why do you write this stuff when you have no idea what you’re talking about. My sons omha team has 7 imports right now. But apparently there is a rule that it’s capped at 4? Common people. Get the facts straight.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Dec 28, 2024 7:22 am I’ve heard there will be no caps on how many non resident players play on a team but above posters say there will be caps. What’s the truth?
Re: OHF Opening borders??
Maybe OMHA might do that because there is too much politics within OMHA. As of today with the new open borders there are no limits of where players come from. It will be up to associations to set limits should they choose to. OMHA orgs may choose to do so but it will not be universally set from what I hear but rather Org by Org. But they would be at a loss if they did put in limits.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:23 amI am not up on the AAA rules but I was told by a non reliable person the 'imports' for AAA clarification were players from another league. eg: OMHA AAA team could only have 4 players from Alliance/GTHL but unlimited players from other OMHA centres. Re: OHF Opening borders??
Hey OHF.....Guess what? Tampering has started already, and honestly can anyone really be shocked about it?!?
How are you policing this? Are you relying on all of us to be rats? What's the penalties, what's the process? All for open borders but the jockeying has already begun. Why is OMHA telling associations to not allow imports. Boards are already jockeying on coaches and associations are scrambling to appoint coaches for the 2025/2026 season so that they can tamper for the next 3-4 months. No structure to your big announcement is just going to leave some kids on the outside looking in, overlapping tryouts, no processes or rules in place, more back room deals happening now than ever before. LOL What a mess fellas.

100% we know tampering has started. Saw "persons" far from their home centre talking to people and that is exactly what they were doing... trying to entice parents to move their kid to .....Guest wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2025 9:07 am Hey OHF.....Guess what? this is all going to go for $h!t
Re: OHF Opening borders??
There are NO import numbers across the OHF. An association may self impose a non resident limit if they wish to but there is no such thing as an import anymore as the OHF is one geographic region now.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 8:23 amI am not up on the AAA rules but I was told by a non reliable person the 'imports' for AAA clarification were players from another league. eg: OMHA AAA team could only have 4 players from Alliance/GTHL but unlimited players from other OMHA centres.
