Scouts see OVT play top teams and OVTs “top players” buckle everything. They have yet to win a meaningful game.
When its time for meaningful games , coaching staff craps the bed. NO Idea how to win a big game .
16 OVT is real deal. Let's face reality here. Ottawa teams have been dismal this season. That was 1st time ovt made it out of preliminary round in a tournament all season. Definitely not a top 10 team.
OVTT , horrendous brackets , and have played quite well considering. They are a top 8-10 team , who can' t finish, that's the reality. Top ten teams have standout goaltending , where as OVTT has good but inconsistent goaltending . Lastly, playing in weaker league this yr does not help when going against monster teams .
Results speak for themselves. If you can't make it to sweet 16 and the one time you do but lose and fail to make it to final 8 then you're not a top 8-10 team lol. Stop already. You had a 7-5 game vs London. Stop living in past.
You can make sweet 16 with an easy schedule going 3-1, and then what happens is you face a tough opponent and lose immediately. So it seems like you did well but in reality, lost to the first hard team you faced.
OVT has had tougher schedules than most but that's maybe on purpose as they wanna see if the team is legit.
Regardless they are a top 10 team, Oakville, Niagara, even the Marlies, no clue how they are so high...

Tournament scheduling for all HEO teams has been purposely terrible . Let’s make teams play at 8am then face a top team living local … and their first game of the day. IF they make it to playoff rounds , play game four and then two more games to reach semis .

I agree. There is no reason a team that played in the morning should be playing a well rested team in the afternoon for in an elimination game. Rediculous.

fallen short in tourneys , always in it , and let things slide in third .
Mission lost by one , was tied under a min to go 2-1
Boston Colleg Eagles was tied till mid third 3-1 empty net
1-1 vs Niagara tough group
JRC lost 5-3 held play until third again , blew it
Toronto titans lost 3-0, was 1-o till late third had chances couldn't get it done .
Combination of things but end of day , just falling short in big tourneys.

I see that based on your poor record in tourneys. 0 wins vs top 10 teams from US nor Canada. Tied Hamilton steel, yikes. Sorry but your team should be outside the top 10.
