I heard a couple of the NYK better players are leaving going to other AA teams. Parents frustrated with the lack of skill there. Kid is getting frustrated. I don't blame them.

Found on MHT 2015 PG 149 - The 2012 coaches coach the 2015 as well

So my accusations weren't wrong. Like I said how can you have bottom end players still with the team after the hard recruiting they did last year. I know kids that wanted to play for them (that are better then the bottom 4-5) that coach didn't call back. The captain is single A at best. How does he make the captain if there isn't any envelopes. I feel bad for the rest of the kids that could play that surround by stiffs. I could parents running for the door.

To be the captain on a team doesn’t mean you’re the best on the team. Come on guys, give your head a shake!

You don't need to be the best to be the captain. Seems like your kid didn't get a letter Dad wanted. Be a leader and take it like a man. Don't cry about having a letter. Maybe your kid is a jerk to his teammates because of your actions and the Coach sees it.

Why not pick 3 assistant captains.
You sit your team down & you explain to them what it takes to be a captain at the start of the season. By Christmas you will have an idea of who has what it takes, to wear a letter on your jersey.
You reward the 3 kids with an “A” to give balanced leadership across the board. At U13 do we really need 1 kid wearing a “C” & thinking he’s better than the rest of the squad.

Jealous kids and jealous parents can turn your team into a nightmare by giving 1 kid the “C”.

That’s just my opinion

Who is getting cut at NYK?

I reached out to the coach, my kid plays A but could have played for SIR, FH, or EE.

He said there are no changes being made unless players move up and isn’t running skates or recruiting until the season is over.

There's alot of AA players that can be switched with A players. Highly interchangeable, especially small kids. Bigger kids have a better shot next season

EE will be a powerhouse next season. They're going to cut the kids that came up from A except the tall kid and there's 5 kids and goalie coming from an OMHA AAA team now that borders are open. Some really big bodies, they physically will dominate for sure. Very impressed with what I saw at the skate.

Delusional. Next season will be no different, they'll try to build around their core which are the coaches kids who really should be in select.

I disagree, I saw the players at the skate and there was a massive upgrade at every position. I would say the skilled players were a little small, but small in AA works better than in AAA so makes sense if they are moving from a AAA team.
Coach doesn't have a kid on the team that should be in A

What skate? We're on the team and we didn't have a skate.
