LF 2 -VRE 2
TA 4 - VRE 3

LF 2 - VRE 1
LF v TA in finals

Not much separating these three teams.
Aeros dominated LF 2-0 in the final of the Aeros tournament today. Aeros will jump into the top 3 by season’s end.
by beating a 7th placed team (and also tying them) they become a top 3 team?
Aeros parents are intense. They beat VRE 4-3 this weekend. Nice comeback from down 3-1. But “dominated”? That’s just stupid.
The person who said there’s not much separating all these good east teams had it right. Playoffs will be unpredictable. Seeding won’t matter.
‘Intense’ is way too polite. Aeros win 1st place for bitter. Instead of congratulating Goulding last night for the tie game the Aeros bench went nuts yelling and swearing. Bruised egos.
Hard not to have a bruised ego if you can't win against Goulding Park.

There is a rumor floating around through Neil McNeil HS that the West Hill U16 next year will have a paid coach from DMF at about 50k/season. They are also bringing in AA kids to create a super team. If true this is outlandish for "A" hockey.

May be substance to this, as this board posted LF AA kid moving to WH A.

haven't heard paid coach from DMF seems excessive for single A. the kids that are coming down (still rumours on who exactly) will be good players at the A loop, but super team is a stretch. they'll improve, but lets be real.... it's not top AA kids coming down, more like coming to play at the correct level.

If true, then 17 families are willing to spend an extra 3k on top of normal costs for A hockey. Just so your 15 year old can learn life is more fun when you have money to burn.

WH will need more than a $50K coach and few AA players to be a super team. They are vastly behind the stronger teams already. And if the fee is actually true, then parents have truly lost their mind.

You'd think parents would learn to stop blowing up teams and moving their kids every single year.... but here we are again!!

This is what happens at U16 and up. Kids have other priorities and come down to play A - really can't fault them for it.

No fault to the kids whatsoever, completely agree that at this age other priorities start to take shape and the move down is the best for them. And ultimately, it creates a stronger division and parity which is what we all want, as we are seeing this year...its the most competitive this division has probably seen in years.

The insanity of what "potentially" is developing, is the fees associated with a bringing a coach at the "A" level. The fees at any level on the youth program is ridiculous. I do not know what entitles any coach to receive what people have to work all year for at their jobs...when the only thing their resume says is "hey, look at how fast I can skate...let me coach AAA". The art of coaching and developing kids is completely a lost art at the youth level...which is very sad. Too much ego, too much money involved.

Show me a team that kept its core together, and has developed them over the years ( kids come and go in the natural tendency of a team ) and I will be impressed.
