It can sucks to leave your home organization but it’s an option. Id suggest going where the development is, coaches who develop teams of hockey players. It’s ok to leave

EMC will never be a development org. They are to fixated on winning and coaches model the style based on that.

Open borders ensures development is no longer the concern of any organization. AAA is all about paying to win from now on.

At Elgin the coach picks bench before tryouts. 3/4 assistant coach kids can be the bottom 3 on the team but are all guaranteed spots before stepping on the ice and they get more ice time. London is known to have quality coaches at AAA, they make mistakes on occasion but they do right by players.

This has nothing to do with elgin per se. This is aaa toxic hockey culture. The only reason you dont see it at another org just means they are hiding it better - its everywhere - no exeptions. Every kids spot is for sale - either daddy pays the coach directly - which definitely happens in elgin or daddy pays 5 or 6 figures for his little angels development. Open borders will blow the toxic culture up exponentially.
