Any AA coach who doesn't play their full bench is a loser. Last 5 minutes or special teams, fine. But, if kids are riding the pine half the game you are a huge loser and don't deserve to coach. AA ain't shit, get over yourself. How you develop your weakest player says a lot about your ability as a coach. Otherwise, you are just a recruiter who likes to ruin hockey for whichever kids are unfortunate enough to be on your third line. They are not expendable, you are. This is one of the reasons hockey is failing in Canada and kids are quitting in droves.

I agree, but why to some parent coaches put their kid ( usually the worst kid on the team) on first line, pp, pk , etc and tell people that they should be in AAA?

That's also not fair. Everything should be earned, including for the coach's son. The coach should also have some self awareness to take their kid down a level so they are not the worst on the team.

That's not true. Some teams roll the lines, just not many.

One reason for that is that some parents aren't smart enough to figure out what the good options are. Ask no questions and do no homework, just base it on how the skate looks. Lmao. If you aren't speaking to the existing parent group and asking them specific questions about the coach's philosophies and the general hockey environment then you are flying blind and taking a big risk. Almost half the teams should not even be an option. Do you know what teams those are? You should or you may end up at a Caps skate.

There's always going to be disgruntled parents on any team as everyone feels their little no names is the next Matthews. To compete in the AA or AAA level they need to be well rounded player. Speed, hockey game play skill, and trusting others is all very important. If your kid can't compete at these levels then a coach has every right to replace you for the next season.
When you read a post that bashes other teams or coaches, its clearly a jealous parent. Or sometimes other coaches upset when players move to other teams. Nine times out of ten player cuts are a direct result of parents. Maybe rather than harnessing your energy on adding no value to your posts you should sit down with your kid and explain why they are being cut. Maybe the game has outgrown them and they cant compete at this level anymore or maybe it was the parents who never skated in their life but knows better and told the coach what to do.
Like really? your bashing the Eagles who ended up top 5 and doing well in the playoffs. Or the caps who are trying to build back better for the next season just like any other bottom half team?
