No fun team... JD is a bully! How many kids quite his team this year?
JD is a bully? Really? How well did your team do HL coach? The only one's leaving are the one's you couldn't take with you which are the one's you will take to make your nonplayoff team. Oh, and I forgot to mention, you're taking your A son to AAA Nats, remember..............rrrrrrrrright
I see lots of Eagles at A, AA and AAA skates. Sinking ship!
Everyone is going to skates bud. Keeping the options open
One reason for that is that some parents aren't smart enough to figure out what the good options are. Ask no questions and do no homework, just base it on how the skate looks. Lmao. If you aren't speaking to the existing parent group and asking them specific questions about the coach's philosophies and the general hockey environment then you are flying blind and taking a big risk. Almost half the teams should not even be an option. Do you know what teams those are? You should or you may end up at a Caps skate.
There's always going to be disgruntled parents on any team as everyone feels their little no names is the next Matthews. To compete in the AA or AAA level they need to be well rounded player. Speed, hockey game play skill, and trusting others is all very important. If your kid can't compete at these levels then a coach has every right to replace you for the next season.
When you read a post that bashes other teams or coaches, its clearly a jealous parent. Or sometimes other coaches upset when players move to other teams. Nine times out of ten player cuts are a direct result of parents. Maybe rather than harnessing your energy on adding no value to your posts you should sit down with your kid and explain why they are being cut. Maybe the game has outgrown them and they cant compete at this level anymore or maybe it was the parents who never skated in their life but knows better and told the coach what to do.
Like really? your bashing the Eagles who ended up top 5 and doing well in the playoffs. Or the caps who are trying to build back better for the next season just like any other bottom half team?
It could also be because they were treated poorly by that team/coach.

I was in this type of situation before. My son was in AAA and not getting much ice, kids on the team were frustrated because he could not keep up and too slow. I dropped him down to AA and now he is having fun and competing at his level.
Maybe you should try dropping down to A?

I never said this was my personal experience or that I had a bad experience. I was making a guess based on some of the player experiences I heard about.

Not all players/families have bad experiences because they are over challenged. But, a kid that is over challenged at whatever level should:
a) not have been chosen in the first place
b) not have been placed on the team by the parents
c) not be made to rot on the bench all year (it becomes abusive)
d) not be treated as a second class citizen by their coach and/or their teammates (also can become abusive)

Good players sometimes have bad experiences also:
a) not fun environment
b) toxic parent group
c) toxic coach
d) refs have intense body odour
e) sky wasn't blue

The West is the best, but know what you are getting into and know your player's level.

So your argument is that if a player is at the bottom of the lineup, they deserved to be treated like crap and dumped? If so, that's pathetic. All players and families deserve to be treated well. If you don't want to do that then don't take them on the team in the first place. Or, you can cut them after the season is over. However, that doesn't mean you have license to treat them like ass. This mindset says a lot more about the people who think this way. It says, you are absolute trash. It's says you are a huge loser. You are the problem with minor hockey.

I would put your kid in some more training. He may need some more practice. And when you’re at a game or practice, just sit back in the stands and enjoy a nice bag of popcorn. Don’t complain all the time. Maybe that’s the problem?
