Worst d-core in the league. Lack of compete, kids that are selfish and parents delusional.
How does each midget team stack up now with more first year players than ever.

Two teams left standing will be MW and NS. Be weary of APR, great recruiter but can’t coach. Two best programs are MW and NS, kids actually get better there

Which teams are going to challenge APR and MW this year.
APR returning a lot of guys, problem is their inability to win has hurt their chances getting any good 09s
No one touches APR. facts

Not a real impressive showing by the ETA 09’s in the OHL draft today, few good selections missed a lot of players specifically when you look at the stats and bio’s of those selected after the 6th round. Quite a few players with better stats left untouched. I was surprised at so many teams that did not have a player taken. Who were the big misses.

I would say lots of bough and pair for or “friends” picks this year.

Jealousy is the destroyer of internal peace.

That AA kid deserved his spot on Erie. Frankly, I’m shocked that more AA players weren’t drafted. This 2009 age group is so weak it is not even funny. You could’ve picked a lot from AA and they’d have just as great a chance doing well in the O.

You’re contradicting yourself saying that money buys status, yet you’re undermining real skill based on a superficial title of playing “AA” vs “AAA”. The only thing that matter here is skill.

This happens every year. You are delusional if you think it doesn't. The top kids that have a chance are drafted early, the others really have a VERY SMALL chance of making a team. OHL teams, scouts and agents will always welcome money to draft kids in later rounds, it helps them remain financially viable.

15 rounds for the U16s and 3 rounds for the U18s means 18 rounds of kids drafted - that's enough players to make a team! And this happens every year. So if you don't make the team in year 1, you get pushed further down the list each year as the new crop comes in. Not saying you can't make it after year 1, just saying statistically it gets harder with each passing year.

You don't think U18 AA kids are better than half the U16 kids that were drafted? Give your head a shake. But the odds of a U18 AA kid making an impact in the OHL are stacked against them. The U16s are selected for their potential to get better and perhaps get drafted one day. Maybe your kid just wasn't good enough to be drafted and/or is marginally better than the kid who paid to be drafted. Either way neither them or your kid will make the team in the end.

Now your point regarding US drafted kids. Now that you can play in the OHL and still get a D1 scholarship, more and more US born players will try the OHL first in hopes to fast track to the NHL draft. If it doesn't work out they can still go the NCAA route.
