MI parent group swapped a crazy for a crazy by the looks of it.
I'm not an MI parent. Just my prediction. So any prediction without TRT at the top must be crazy? Weird.

Yes it would be crazy to say that TRT won’t finish on top again. They went undefeated in their playoff run and they are not making many moves this year
TRT play style relies on size advantage - dump the puck and win it back by hitting opponents on the boards. There's a reason why there haven't been many kids from TRT going up to AAA. Low skill, boring, but safe system that can be taught to single A recruits. That being said, I don't see MI sizing up enough to compete but other teams might catch up.
[/quote]

Agree with the MI size comment. Not being racist, just too many short dads.

Size advantage? They have a couple large kids only. Quite a few are tiny actually. Low skill? Top 15? in province. Best in East, undefeated in playoffs. AAA dropdowns are not AAA players . They were misplaced 95% of time. Whatever helps you sleep and dream about your success (I mean kids success.right?)🤣

Obviously a TRT parent who can't see what's going on. "A couple large kids only"? Can you get your eyes checked? The previous analysis pretty much summed it up. Low skills and boring game play, will not be able to compete once other kids catch up in size. You can see that from how the handful of kids they sent to AAA turned out. They will probably resort to dirty play next year to try to capitalize on their size advantages while it lasts.

My kid is coming down from AAA next year and looking for a good AA program. Curious why you ranked NYK so high -- the closest in terms of home rink location for me would be NYK, NT and FH so I'm definitely interested if they will be a top team next year.

So far from what I have researched NYK and FH have paid coaches and the FH coach seems to favor speed and skill while NYK favors strength and size. MI is farther for me but also seems to have a decent program with a paid coach. SYB is also far and the coach seems to have a bad rep. My kid wasn't at TT the year GO was supposed to take that team but we know others that were affected by that situation so we will probably avoid that team. TRT seems to be the like the TYN of AA - parent coach who plays dump and chase and puts his own kid on top line. I agree with the low skill assessment based on watching some of the series vs DD as by that time we knew we were on the bubble for AAA and not once did I see three passes connect in a row. My goal for my son next year would be to contribute to a top or mid-pack team and bring them to the top.

Honestly, if you know kids or parents on the team, I would reach out and have a chat. Call the coaches and see what their program offers. There are pluses and minus to all teams. There were some drop downs who really struggled last year, especially at SYB, they were supposed to take it all with their stacked team. I hope your son finds a good fit and contributes to the team you choose
