Do not know which region you are playing, maybe like Barrie or other outside GTA teams can be cheaper due to lower ice price. Most GTA teams are around 6k-9k range. I know couple parents paid 10k+ (include everything) for older age group. We just aged out, and we spent two years there. Both years were around $3500, still not cheap - but our local MD team after all their fees ended up at $3100 so, meh, not a big deal.
I also wouldn't pay that much money for U7, U8 hockey. And very likely wouldn't for U9 either. We aren't paying anywhere even close to that with AAA hockey in U10.
So, I challenge if those are real $$$ I can buy $5k or $6k, but 7-12? for what? Why?
