Any truth to both Vaughan teams folding? If so, where are those kids going? AA or is single A an option? If so, where is a good landing spot in A?

Options are U18AA (GTHL or OMHA), other remaining AA skates or single A. Most AA teams at U17 are all looking for players (ST, DD, TR, WML, HVS). Top 2 West teams in A are full. Next best would assume may be TR with former GTC and other AA kids I know have gone there or TE.

Does anyone else here think that it is really stupid to play U18AA if you are an 09?
Really. Do you think your kid is a top player in the 09 loop because he is playing up a year AA?
Do you think this will get you looked at to play U18 AAA the next year?
if you are an 09's playing U18AA leads me to believe one of a few possibilities.
1- You don't know any better or how the game is played
2- Your kid isn't good enough to make a U17 AA team
2a - Your kid is probably on a really shit U18AA team that can't recruit/attract actual U18 AA players

You sound like a sour coach that is losing players to u18AA.

u18AA is a great option if your 09 kid is on the cusp of u18AAA. Playing against older kids will be a bonus and prepare them for the year after.

Stop being a hater coach!

There are 09's in the U18 AAA loop that shouldn't be there, we all know that, but there is not one 09 committed to a U18AA team that is on the cusp of AAA.

Not yet, most will find homes by mid summer in U18AA

Popped my head into the Royals tryouts last night, does anyone know the buffoon on the ice with no skates yelling at the players. Was that a parent?

If your kid was true AAA material he’d be playing in triple by now. Any 09 player who has never played in AAA and is wanting to play for next season, it’s just going to be for fun, you aren’t going anywhere, maybe even consider playing house league and save your parents money.
