So a AAA coach establishes a kid is good enough to AP but MM says “nope” on a consistent basis, you’re saying that’s a “difference of opinion”? That’s called limiting opportunity. If a kid has an opportunity with a better team, their current coach should be honoured. Instead, in this case, he was threatened. Selfishness from him always. Consideration for no one but himself.

These kids are working their tails off to move up to AAA and it makes me sick to hear MM is standing in their way. RW/YSE have no respect for MM and any kid who plays for him is going to miss out. This is so accurate it’s scary. It’s funny how these people think it’s one person posting. It’s at least 10-15. Think of that in how many kids have been hurt. But yeah EM, we should move on. Easy for you to say. How rich.

The issues within the AMHA are systemic and always have been. CS learned from the former president’s (JB) playbook which has been the standard for far too long. Deflecting and gaslighting is their main strategy. At the first sign of trouble involving any of the executive or coaches that “tow the AMHA line” they circle the wagons and make the player or parents with the concerns or complaints into the problem or villains and apply an underlying threat of benching or cutting their kid the following season. They don’t take any of the concerns or complaints seriously unless it directly affects them or one of their buddies who have kids in the association. My kid moved on years ago but I’ve seen this repeated season after season with families still in the quagmire that is the AMHA. Everyone commenting on here is right about what happens in the AMHA and it is disgusting that it’s been allowed to go unchecked. The executive care about keeping the money rolling in so that the association stays afloat and they can hold on to what little power seems to make them feel big. They do it under the guise of running a “hometown hockey” program which adds insult to injury. The AMHA are 100% culpable in not hearing the families with kids enrolled in their program and taking their concerns and complaints seriously, and are too daft to see they have damaged their brand beyond repair.

very well said. So here's the problem, we all know this is happening. We all know this has been going on for years. So how do we stop it? The association wont listen to us or even care about what we have to say. If we go up the proverbial ladder to the OMHA then the OHF and even Hockey Canada, can we collaborate any of these stories? It's our word against theirs. The only thing we can do, is leave. Most of us have. But that wont stop this from happening to the group of kids. Those poor children that MM has coerced into joining his team, have no idea what they are in for. His friends TT's parents have left. Hell their daughter even refused to play in the illustrious OHF tournament he weaseled his team into. His other friends the goalie NI has tried to leave. If people whom he considered friends are leaving due to their child being mistreated, shouldn't that raise enough alarms?

C O R B Y are you so arrogant that you can't admit you made a mistake in keeping him on board? you come on here to defend your golden coach, you rally his wife to come here and make posts in his defense. You should be removing him as coach IMMEDIATELY there's no other choice here.

Yes, all but 2 players stayed with him and 3 qualified, kind assistant coaches stepped down this year because he’s so great. Get a grip. The assistants couldn’t continue to watch the players be mistreated. He picks on certain kids, demeans and embarrasses them in front of their peers regularly. Do you know what that’s called AMHA? Right. Say it with me … b u l l y I n g… a b u s e… a you guys sit back and defend. Awful people. You are baaaaadddd humans.
