Because of the coach. That’s called limiting opportunity. If a kid has an opportunity with a better team, their current coach should be honoured. Instead, in this case, he was threatened. Selfishness from him always. Consideration for no one but himself.Guest wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:38 pm Just because his opinion was different then another coaches doesn't mean he can't recognize talent. Coaches often disagree on a players skills, attitude etc and different coaches see different things. I assume this was the case. I am glad your son is successful playing AAA that's awesome even more of a reason to move on. Why do you care so much about MM and his new team now? What does the constant daily bashing of him on this page do for you? Just let it go already. Its time to move on

Re: Aurora Hockey
The issues within the AMHA are systemic and always have been. CS learned from the former president’s (JB) playbook which has been the standard for far too long. Deflecting and gaslighting is their main strategy. At the first sign of trouble involving any of the executive or coaches that “tow the AMHA line” they circle the wagons and make the player or parents with the concerns or complaints into the problem or villains and apply an underlying threat of benching or cutting their kid the following season. They don’t take any of the concerns or complaints seriously unless it directly affects them or one of their buddies who have kids in the association. My kid moved on years ago but I’ve seen this repeated season after season with families still in the quagmire that is the AMHA. Everyone commenting on here is right about what happens in the AMHA and it is disgusting that it’s been allowed to go unchecked. The executive care about keeping the money rolling in so that the association stays afloat and they can hold on to what little power seems to make them feel big. They do it under the guise of running a “hometown hockey” program which adds insult to injury. The AMHA are 100% culpable in not hearing the families with kids enrolled in their program and taking their concerns and complaints seriously, and are too daft to see they have damaged their brand beyond repair.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 9:23 amThis is so accurate it’s scary. It’s funny how these people think it’s one person posting. It’s at least 10-15. Think of that in how many kids have been hurt. But yeah EM, we should move on. Easy for you to say. How rich.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 8:32 am I love how CS and Mrs. MM have to come on here and try to defend this despicable excuse for a man and coach. If you don't like people bashing him as you put it, or simply coming on here stating their horrible experiences, then maybe you should have done something about it in the first place. You ignored parent complaints and labeled them as trouble parents. You ignored the surveys and only file the glowing reviews written by his wife. You handed pre-signed AP lists allowing him to use an illegible/illegal player. You created this. You allowed him to ruin hockey for many kids, his own son included. Now you come here and say "move on" or "it's not your concern". CS you're absolutely pathetic. Grow a pair and actually do something good in the association. Since you became pres. The AMHA has already folded a whole age groups worth of rep teams. Now you have an entire team leaving to get away from a toxic coach. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT. Instead of running around arenas with you slimy disposition, and air of arrogance, instead of posing for pictures with the mayor... DO SOMETHING. You removed a U14BB coach simply because his son was trying out for a higher level, yet you leave this self serving A-HOLE in place on a team that has done nothing but steadily decline. The real problem starts at the top.
Re: Aurora Hockey
very well said. So here's the problem, we all know this is happening. We all know this has been going on for years. So how do we stop it? The association wont listen to us or even care about what we have to say. If we go up the proverbial ladder to the OMHA then the OHF and even Hockey Canada, can we collaborate any of these stories? It's our word against theirs. The only thing we can do, is leave. Most of us have. But that wont stop this from happening to the group of kids. Those poor children that MM has coerced into joining his team, have no idea what they are in for. His friends TT's parents have left. Hell their daughter even refused to play in the illustrious OHF tournament he weaseled his team into. His other friends the goalie NI has tried to leave. If people whom he considered friends are leaving due to their child being mistreated, shouldn't that raise enough alarms?Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 11:48 amThe issues within the AMHA are systemic and always have been. C O R B Y are you so arrogant that you can't admit you made a mistake in keeping him on board? you come on here to defend your golden coach, you rally his wife to come here and make posts in his defense. You should be removing him as coach IMMEDIATELY there's no other choice here.
Re: Aurora Hockey
If the board hasn't removed him yet - after everything that's gone on. They won't. I hope they all feel really big and important.Guest wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 12:57 pmvery well said. Re: Aurora Hockey
I am assuming they look at his coaching experience as a whole, along with surveys from not just the recent season. The U14AA coach has consistently given his time and commitment to his Tigers teams year after year. On ice and off ice. There are still kids years later that would play for him in a second if they were 2012. He is a great coach and the kids who will be playing
on the upcoming u14aa team are lucky to have him.

Re: Aurora Hockey
Hahaha. There's our laugh for the day. I'm sure kids at other age groups are so disappointed that they can't join this imaginary line to play for him. Just as all of his past players did this year. Oh wait - it was a mass exodus. His coaching experience along with coaching style is the real laugh. How many players did he text begging to return? Offering them the C? I hope the kids that left all found positive experiences and teams to play for. The rest, it seems as though you've been warned enough.Guest wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 2:54 pm I am assuming they look at his coaching experience as a whole, along with surveys from not just the recent season. Re: Aurora Hockey
Yes, all but 2 players stayed with him and 3 qualified, kind assistant coaches stepped down this year because he’s so great. Get a grip. The assistants couldn’t continue to watch the players be mistreated. He picks on certain kids, demeans and embarrasses them in front of their peers regularly. Do you know what that’s called AMHA? Right. Say it with me … b u l l y I n g… a b u s e… a you guys sit back and defend. Awful people. You are baaaaadddd humans.Guest wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 2:54 pm I am assuming they look at his coaching experience as a whole, along with surveys from not just the recent season. All but 2 players left, rather.
