2013 GTHL AAA
Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
there are plenty of tryouts going on it’s crazy people lock on to one team they feel their kid has to play for. There are good coaches at all levels may be a blessing in disguise go somewhere new
Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
This all sounds like BS. There is 0 PERCENT chance this is a thing. How can a parent dictate if their kid makes a team or not?
A coach at ANY time, can cut or remove someone from the team, especially at tryouts. He clearly made the team and someone is just bad mouthing the family and kid because they themselves got cut…
If this is true… well then the DMF coach and organization have 0 backbone. THERE IS O CHANCE that these events happened. No kid has ever been cut from a team and the Mother and father, stormed the Capital and got their kid to sign a card by threatening and yelling at the org and coach for 3 hours….
The coach would just laugh in their face and rip the card up. Mommy and daddy don’t get to dictate anything.

Agreed. He is on the team because the coaches wanted him on the team and we are all happy he’s here.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 11:22 am This all sounds like BS. There is 0 PERCENT chance this is a thing. How can a parent dictate if their kid makes a team or not?

Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
Well I looked into this myself and he doesn’t have a card. So the story DOES sound like it’s true. I also spoke to a coach who was contacted by DMF asking if they had a spot for HB because DMF cut him last weekend.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 11:22 am This all sounds like BS. I also checked and HB is NOT LISTED ON THE DMF ROSTER ON SPORDLE PAGE, so your talk about the “card” makes no sense. Every other player on DMF is already registered with the team. If HB was actually on the team, he would be registered. He is not.
There is no arguing this. I’m guessing that these crazy comments about him being on the team are from HB parents. Stop slandering the DMF coaches because they’ve done nothing wrong. The kid did not make the team and the parents are acting like spoiled children. Don’t blame the coaches!
Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
This story is 100% truth.hockeyrocks wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 10:02 amSo many people talking about this at the rink. It is true HB was cut from DMF on Sunday. The coaches tried to do a solid and called 3 teams trying to find him a spot but no takers. DMF coaches sent out the registration link Monday and accidentally included HB and another kid who had been cut. Coaches called both kids parents right away and an explained and apologized for the mistake . First family was ok with it but HB parents said they got the link so they are entitled to a spot - even though they had already been cut the day before and the coach called to say the email was a mistake right away. HB parents then freaked out and confronted DMF staff yelling and screaming the way many people have described already and mom leaving nasty phone messages.hockeyrocks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 8:49 pmThe only way he’s on the team is if he threatened his way on. My son is actually on the team and we know he was cut. It’s not a secret. If the team caves in to these threats and the parents temper tantrum then expect the parent group to have a huge problem with it.hockeyrocks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 8:44 pmSeriously. Who goes out of their way to make up complete lies like that? He’s on the team, never cut. Enough already.hockeyrocks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 5:03 pmThe person with mental health issues is the one making up lies.hockeyrocks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 3:51 pmYou can’t act that way as a mature adult. People seem to forget there are consequences.hockeyrocks wrote: ↑Thu Apr 24, 2025 3:43 pm You don’t know what happened. HB was cut Sunday and he still showed up Monday. They let him skate but he was cut and he knew that. There is no excuse to verbally abuse organization staff and act the way they did. The fact you would try to defend that behaviour is disgusting. Pool boy was cut as well but why would he care? HB is a D.
There are OMHA teams and others still having skates. HB has lots of opportunities to find another team. Stop acting crazy and start making calls to coaches.
The whole situation is silly and embarrassing because teams can release anyone they want until November so no matter what HB is not on the team. It’s crazy that parents of a cut try to force their way into a team because of a mistake email that the coaches apologized for. The parents need to stop humiliating themselves and move on.
The DMF coaches contacted the coaches of the MM, TT and MR after HB got cut trying to help him out but the parents refused to accept that the kid was cut.
If you don't believe this why don't you ask one of those coaches before you ignorantly deny the story.
Also, if you think parents confronting coaches after their kid gets cut is hard to believe then you haven't been around hockey very long. This happens every year on numerous teams across the age groups. Wake up.
The team doesn't want the kid so the fact the parents are fighting this is nuts. Even if they got a spot out of pity the kid is going to sit on the bench the whole season. Move on people there are other options. Do what's best for your kid and stop thinking of yourselves.
Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
He's not on the team. That's the whole point. He got cut and the parents lost their shit. Doesn't mean he's on the squad.Guest wrote: ↑Sat Apr 26, 2025 11:22 am This all sounds like BS. There is 0 PERCENT chance this is a thing. How can a parent dictate if their kid makes a team or not?

Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
Anyone who still thinks that kids sign a paper card that the team snail mails to the league is living in the 90's! There are no cards to tear up its all online and instantaneous. Thanks for the laugh dipshit

Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
If the team doesn’t want you find a team that does. It’s like getting dumped and arguing to stay together. Self respect bro.
Re: 2013 GTHL AAA
If that actually happened and the coach entertained the conversation at ALL, he is soft. The family is telling people they are on DMF, which is cringe if not true.
Just do the happy Gilmore."Name not on the list?? Well Better luck next year!!"
