To compete at international events these teams will need to join forces. Aligning better players to one team will certainly help that cause. Look no further than the U16 HPL's...been recruiting kids for years more than any other org. Recently became the Silver Stick champs! Maybe this is the path but not so sure at all ages.

Wishful thinking. No chance these two orgs unite. The politics in both orgs is so thick there is no way those in power would allow it. Yes, it would make sense and the teams would be very strong, but we all know that's the last thing these clowns care about.

Players could certainly "unite" to one of the orgs. Uniting the associations will never happen but kids and parents are free to roam the hockey world to whomever they choose to form "super" teams with the carrots dangling for more ice time!

That's true. The orgs will stay separate, but for sure super teams will be formed. LJK will be even weaker now, as I think most would prefer EMC as they have more practice ice time and it's a better org.

Rumour has it London still won’t allow out of area residents.
EMC will lose the best kids at age groups where the coaching is stronger in London, and visaversa. No one wants to leave home organization but everyone wants to be part of the best program available to them

Not surprised if LJK was to pull that stunt.

They’ll never unite. There are a lot more people voicing their displeasure at EMC since this announcement was made. If London played their cards right, they could get a lot of EMC players to jump over. So many already drove right through or by London anyhow.
