Our 2015 group has been handicapped and are a year behind in development as you said. As far as Saskatchewan, you can't compare amongst the age group. If that team had played an average 2012 or 2013 Brick team they would have been slaughtered 10-0. They look good right now because they're playing Brick teams that are not even as good as some league teams in other age groups when they were 9/10.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Jul 01, 2025 3:24 pmlike it or not it matters a lot as far as skating ability goes. A friend is a long time OHL scout and current U14 AAA coach and he has been saying for a couple of years that the 2010 and 2013 groups are the strongest in the past decade.
Again, I am not saying there are no quality 2015 players, my son is a 2015 and in Edmonton right now. It's just the way it is.
Just accept the fact that the team was chose poorly.
Ontario has plenty of boys to choose from compared to the US. If Covid was a real excuse- every team would be weak. Not just bulldogs.
And plenty of US states were shut down during covid. They had no advantage.
GTHL and bulldogs aren’t where the talent is. Paid spots on teams and friends and family spots are why 50% of the GTHL teams couldn’t beat basic omha and alliance teams.

D and goaltending are a total mess. Because 2015 is weak the Marlies can hide this but not for long.
TM going to be in for a real long winter. Their so called #1 goalie for pulled against a team that the Reps would beat.
Consider it a blessing he isn’t in the room with your boys.
He is constantly talking crap about players on his own team.
Toronto teams dodged a bullet by passing on him.
No goalies in Alliance should be playing at the brick.
Not a single strong goalie in that league.

Talk has already made it through the brick crowd just be thankful you didn't have to see it
Re: 2015 AAA
I don't know if it's covid or just lack of talent. In states hockey was not shut down the way it was in Canada...i'm sure there were some groups that still had access to ice. Some birth years just aren't as good as others.

Their top kids are actually decent. I feel bad for them. Maybe they should all play on a line together to at least rack up a few goals.

Reality check for PHD in game 1 today. They were out worked and watching on the sidelines while a bunch of Alberta's finest never quit.
PHD is jinxed with the No names brothers there , not sure who's worse them or ML/GL
