Thread to discuss topics of interest for the 2016 OMHA AAA loop. Here are the teams and divisions as they were last season:
-Whitby Wildcats
-York-Simcoe Express
-Quinte Red Devils
-North Shore Whitecaps
-Peterborough Petes
-Markham Waxers
-Ajax-Pickering Raiders
-Barrie Jr Colts
-Central Ontario Wolves
-Greater Kingston Jr Gaels
North Central Predators
Similar to the above, early prediction of tiers for teams in the West:
1. Niagara, Burlington, Grey Bruce
2. Oakville, Halton, Credit River
3. Hamilton, Southern Tier, Guelph
Grey Bruce is terrible. Open borders bud
You’re not wrong, I think it’ll go more like this
1. Niagara , Burlington
2. Guelph, Oakville, Southern tier
3. Hamilton, credit river, Halton , grey Bruce

The 2016 GBH team will struggle. There is a strong cohort in area but looks like only half of them will be out. Will be half Bucks kids, half WOAA MD. Nothing from Owen Sound or Collingwood. Will be nothing like last year.
Help complete the list below of feeder teams into each OMHA team, i'll start with a few in west:
-Niagara North Stars - Old Niagara Outlaws KSL team along with some loca Niagara kids, will be a strong team.
-Credit River Capitals - Non-parent coach pulling from local KSL teams and strongest MD kids in Orangeville and Brampton.
-Guelph Gryphons - Bringing in some strong outsiders from Milton area along with local Guelph/Tri-City kids.
-Grey-Bruce Highlanders
-Oakville Rangers - About half of the existing MD team along with some outside talent from Oakville's good programming and open borders.
-Burlington Eagles - Primarily existing MD team along with some improvements. Losing some players to Halton Hurricanes.
-Halton Hurricanes - Core of the Mississauga Stars T2 team, along with some local Milton MD kids.
-Hamilton Steel - Core of the Hamilton Ironmen T1 from KSL, along with some T2 and local MD kids
-Southern Tier Admirals
EAST TEAMS:
-Whitby Wildcats
-York-Simcoe Express
-Quinte Red Devils
-North Shore Whitecaps
-Peterborough Petes
-Markham Waxers
-Ajax-Pickering Raiders
-Barrie Jr Colts
-Central Ontario Wolves
-Greater Kingston Jr Gaels

Markham Waxers will not win a game all year. They may not get a shot on net until the second half of the season. Do they even have a coach yet? Most double A teams and strong A teams will be a better spot.

How are the tryouts looking for the OMHA teams?
Klevr kids returning are clearly way better than the non-Klevr kids in tryout. It will be difficult for the coaches' to pick though because you really don't know which team those Klevr kids really want to sign with.

Agreed 100%. Waxers will be the team of the desperate, chasing that extra A.

They have handed out some offers today. They picked up a defence that cannot skate backwards and a forward that other bottom AA teams rejected.
